At a Walmart. In Florida. Of course.

A Florida Wal-Mart worker shot up another employee's car after the other worker won employee of the month, investigators believe.

The employee of the month at the Deerfield Beach Wal-Mart store had her car shot up after Willie Mitchell became incensed that she won the award.

"She was announced as the employee of the month which you would think that would be something good, people would be happy for her," the Broward Sheriff's Office spokesman said. "But there was one employee who wasn't happy."

Apparently, Mitchell told the Employee of the Month that "I'm gonna show you." A short time later, he did just that.

"Perhaps (Mitchell) wanted to be employee of the month but clearly these actions that we saw in response to this, I think we see why he wasn't chosen as employee of the month," the Sheriff's office said.

You're encroaching on DJ's turf.

Why "of course"? From what I read....people are being shot all across the country for stupid reasons......

We need an official "Post News Stories from States Other Than Florida" day.

Its not so much the shooting so much as there has been a disproportionate number of weird news stories on the hype lately involving Florida. At this point though I think their news reporters down there are just better at getting the word out.

It's not the reporters, its that DJ_KiDDvIcIOUs is from Florida and reports every single thing he hears from the state on here.

"WHO'S EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH NOW *****?"

What a dumbass.

I wish this was a DJ thread, just to see those two guys get pissed off again.

I like to imagine there was righteous angry words ready to spew forth from their keyboards and just before pressing enter they saw the name was not DJ's and had to back down.

Because they're forced to read threads they know they won't like. :whatever:

Maybe it was a $10 gift card as a bonus and he was just missing that much for his christmas shopping in order to get that smoothie machine for grandma.

Of wait, was the woman in the car or is she still alive? The quotation doesn't seem to indicate either which way.

I think the only way to 'shoot up' a thread is to start a debate in it and make it lose total track of the topic. Like a religious debate.

Employee of the month. At Walmart? That's like being the smartest toilet baby in the room.

I don't think she was in the car although it's not made clear either way. I would have assumed there would be mention of her being unharmed or otherwise injured or killed.

My sentiment exactly
"Perhaps (Mitchell) wanted to be employee of the month but clearly these actions that we saw in response to this, I think we see why he wasn't chosen as employee of the month," the Sheriff's office said.

Must really have wanted that plaque or certificate or whatever employees of the month at Walmart get.

Full time pay for one week maybe?
