Hey well, my Mom took all the life insurance after my Dad died and spent it on herself... cars... houses... It came out years later that my Dad stipulated in his will that certain amounts be set back for each of us kids, but the money was long gone, and we'd have had to take our own mom to court to get it back. So why would my Mom do that? What other reason would someone do something like that? Money. It's a b*tch.

I'm sorry to hear she did that, however I don't think all mothers have that sort of mentality, especially an elderly one such as the mentioned in the article.

I think there is some grey area here. Maybe he REALLY does think she cant take care of her self, and he is looking out her for. Not they way we would maybe look after our moms, but still. Taking her to court for it is a little far.
