Married people thread

while we're not married yet, my better half and me have been together for almost 3 years now, and I guess we started living together a couple of months after starting
we've known each other since before our first marriages, that'd be 12 years now, and we're best friends
the sex is great, she's as sick, twisted and romantic as me, so there goes that
I don't think we've gone more than a week without sex, we're hooked on that stuff
we both love cooking, so there's another plus
we'll soon get married

Married 14 years in 2 weeks...will be celebrating on a Mexican Riviera cruise while the grandparents watch the kids at home. Life is great! :woot:

My wife and I just celebrated 6 years of marriage last Friday. We have been together for 8 years. My wife is my best friend, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Together for 4 years, married for one year come July.

Apparently headed for divorce, though, according to some here around here. :o

But as far as we know, we're terribly happy.

Wow. Been a year since this thread first popped up. Been with my wife over five years now and married for 3 1/2 years, now with a bun in the oven. Marrying my wife is still the best thing I ever did. Marriage isn't for everyone and I never thought I'd want to get married until I met my wife, but it can be a very beautiful thing with the right person.

Met my wife about 4 years ago, and I've been married for about 1 1/2 years and we have a baby. It definitely changes your view on life and makes you think about future and strive for a comfortable living for your family. Although there are times when I wish I can have some time for myself, getting married is the best decision I've ever made.

about to celebrate 2 years with my fiance (been best friends for 5). we're still planning our wedding and trying to decide on a date. we'd love to have it on a 27th, cuz both our bdays fall on that day (sept and march) and it be in the fall, but October and November 27th are both on a weekday :(

Do you guys/girls that have been married for a while feel the act of marriage was really necessary considering you already loved each other?

I love my girlfriend, but I wouldn't marry her, just seems like a big waste of money, instead of putting in money on a reception, party, and all that, I'd save it up and spend it on a beautiful trip somewhere exotic.

Haha, not that simple. Almost all women and most guys like the idea of being "married".

Been married for 6 years now.

And yes, it's true; once you get married, you still have to beg just to get laid. :o

Seriously... my big wedding was 99% for my wife and 1% for her family. The memories are great and will last forever. The pictures and videos alone from drunken speech givers are worth it IMO. Its great watching them after almost 8 years of marriage.

The exotic trips and stuff will come later. The money spent on the wedding was worth her happiness.

I'm excited for marriage. I don't need a huge elaborate wedding, but I'd like to have a fun reception and honeymoon.

Jag's wife, "Why does my sphincter hurt? And why can't I remember anything from last night?"

Jag, "... :ninja: ..."

been with the same amazing woman since my sophmore year in high school (2001) and finally tied the knot last August 5th.

Married life is great :)

I'm sure the big hooplah made your wife very happy; no surprise there lol

Yes, verily so.

I was so exhausted at the end of the day. I felt like a whole week had passed in the span of one night.

I had a couple of older guys I work with tell me about their marriages. Some pretty gloomy stuff lol. I didn't believe all of what they said obviously but their marriages sound like hostage situations

Maybe they got married for financial reasons or because they knocked up their girlfriends :o
