Maybe comics should just relaunch every couple of years. That way people can have the runs they want by whatever writer and/or artist they like and people won't buy comics just to be completists.

I actually agree with this, but that's speaking as a new comic book reader. I haven't had time yet to collect years worth of comics, so I personally don't have a problem with these relaunches at all. But I can see how annoying it could get, so who knows what I'm like in a couple of years.

I'm really excited for most of these titles. I really have only been able to get into X-men comics, but I've wanted to branch out for a while. I always found Thor and Hickman's Fantastic Four intimidating to get into for some reason.

So far I'm thinking of getting Uncanny Avengers, All New X-men, Avengers, Captain America, Thor, Fantastic Four, and maybe Ironman and Future Foundation.

I'm the most worried about the X-men franchise. While I don't hate the idea of All New X-men as much as most people it seems, cancelling Uncanny, Legacy, and New Mutants and leaving X-men seems like a bad sign. So I'm hoping they revamp X-men and introduce awesome titles that will replace the cancelled ones. I want at least one X-book without Wolverine.

But won't thee still be adjectiveless X-Men? Maybe that will focus on non-Wolverine members. Not to mention there's still X-Factor.

Are all Marvel books going to be relaunched with a number 1?
If not does somebody have a link with a list of all the books that are going to be launched as part of Marvel Now?

This wikipedia page has everything that's been announced so far, other than that there's two teasers with the words "Soldier" and "Legacy" that have yet to be officially announced though "Soldier" is pretty much all but confirmed to be a Captain America relaunch written by Rick Remender with art by John Romita. I can't remember the names involved with "Legacy" but that one's thought to be somewhat X-Men related but nobody is really sure.

There's also a "Point One" issue that will probably have stories leading in to more new/relaunched books, the lowdown on that is here:

Otherwise, keep your eyes peeled on a comics news site like Newsarama or Comic Book Resources, Marvel's been unveiling new series at the rate of about one a day (or in the case of today, three were announced).

Glad to see wikipedia has finally made a page for that, the last time i checked they didn't have anything about the event. Still don't see the reason why they started the new Gambit series so soon, they could have waited for this relaunch.

Agreed, I was wondering why they didn't wait to launch stuff like Hawkeye, Captain Marvel or X-Treme X-Men at that time. Possibly because they didn't want them to be lost in the shuffle with all the big high profile books with their popular heroes in them, but still, whats to say that will actually prevent a comic reader with a budget from going "Oooo, [creator] on [book], I'll have to give that a shot but I gotta drop a title before I can" and ditch one those books?

Also, it seems like Marvel is really cutting back on the X-Men books, right? They're canceling three X-Men books and only launching one new one. Although I'm sure within a year they'll be going 15 X-Men titles strong.

Not just cutting back, but letting Bendis write one of the few we have. Not good times at all.

As far as X-Men go... I'm not sure if they're going to rush out to replace all the canceled titles. Bendis has said that he plans to do the exact same thing to X-Men as he did to Avengers: start on one title and branch that to one or two other titles (like he did with Mighty, Dark, and Adjectiveless Advengers). He said it was going to happen mush sooner than it did with his Avengers run though.

Those aside, we still have X-Men, Wolverine & the X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, Uncanny X-Force, and X-Factor. We have plenty.

A whole book about Legion? I dig the character but ugh. Gimme teams!

He's already planing to branch his title? And i thought Geoff Johns was sell out

So it is a relaunch of X-men:Legacy.I won't be buying it and honestly I don't see a book about Legion surviving for long.

Oh, how I hate JRJR's art.

But at least Dean White's on it.

Yeah, his personalities were fun for a few arcs of XML but I give this book 12 issues.

I liked JRJR's art in Kick-Ass, but seeing it so much in Avengers is begining to make me dislike it, a lot.

He works well as a wildcard in a team setting, but beyond that I don't think he'll be bringing in a huge audience.I mean was there even demand for his return before Carey bought him back?

For some reason, I've always hated his art. Even back to his ASM run, I wasn't into it.

But Cap is my second favorite character, and Remender is one of my favorite writers, so I'll suffer through it.

Legion huh? I personally LOVE this as I love Legion but I don't see it doing all that well. I thought the arc that Carey did with him was the best arc of his entire run so that's a plus and I'm assuming this will bring Xavier back to the forefront again, thankfully.

So yeah, I'm excited. I don't know how well the book will last. I think that depends on the supporting cast and how it all plays out. The X-Men Legacy name will likely buy it some readership even if people are uninterested in Legion as a character. We'll see.

I'm all over the Cap book. Never dove into Brubaker's run, but have been wanting to read a Cap book since seeing the film. I'll be jumping on here, for sure.

I liked JrJr's art years ago but it feels like he's gotten worse over time. He was on Uncanny X-Men when I started reading that book and I loved him on it. Then I really liked him on Amazing Spider-Man. It wasn't until the second Sentry mini that I found myself not as enchanted with him. Then it just seems like every time I see his art I just shrug.

I like his art quite a bit, but then again I hardly read any Marvel books at all. Maybe the same thing will happen to me once I start reading his books more regularly.

If only Marvel had DC's pricing structure, I'd probably be buying almost everything.

pardon my ignorance on this, but what is DC's structure? I thought it was "pretty much everything is $3.99," as it is definitely no longer "Drawing the Line at $2.99!"

Not even a little. But that whole book was Carey fanfic so he's probably the only person who missed Legion.

Ain't that the truth. Frenzy has grown on me surprisingly.

The only books that cost 3.99 are the ones with extra features/pages.
