“It had been conceived as more of a legal procedural, and we really brought it back towards an action-based New York crime story,” Scardapane told EW. “The real trick was to have the DNA of the old Netflix show, but then push it forward into something very new.”

“The thing that we kept talking about was, this show has had the success that it’s had and has appealed to a very specific demographic because it’s one of the few superhero shows that is so dark and sinister at times,” explained Cox.

“Vincent and I both felt like if you lose that, you are at risk of losing the identity of our show. So we really pushed for the show to remain geared towards an older audience and not dumbed down to kind of capture a wider net of people.

In his recent newsletter, Sneider noted, “I’ve heard that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is poised for an appearance in Spider-Man 4.” He then shed light on the possibility of an appearance from Punisher in the Tom Holland-led sequel. “My sources were torn on an appearance from Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, though I’ll lean toward ‘no’ myself right now,” the internet scooper speculated.

Well, about time.

By Monday (6th of January), we will be officially less than 2 months from the release of the show (5th of March).

Considering the trailer to show release time windows for past Disney+ shows and for something as big as Daredevil, I would've expected the trailer to be released weeks ago already.

They need to build awareness for the show very quickly at this point. The average moviegoer out there that's not blindly (hehe) following any piece of DD content, probably doesn't even know a new DD season is releasing, let alone as close as merely 2 months from now.

I'd say by the end of next week at the latest we will get the trailer.

I forget where I read it, but my recollection is that corporations don't want to start hyping a new streaming release until about a month before because if they start advertising it too early then it kills interest.

I don't like it either or agree with it, but that's the supposed line of thought. This is why Netflix won't release a trailer for a new series until like a few weeks out. They think if they put the trailer out too early people are ticked off because they search for the show and can't find it and that kills the buzz.

The show was already renewed for Season 4 months ago. So this is just an example for how streamers like to market new shows at the last minute.

From today, we are now 1 month and 19 days from the release of Born Again, which is already a much shorter window than the above and we still don't even have a teaser trailer. We should've been in Trailer 2 territory now (like Reacher), not wondering where the teaser is.

And it's not like Daredevil needs much lifting in order to hype it. This is Daredevil. Of the Marvel Netflix shows, it's the one that audiences gravitated towards the most, and naturally those general audience-goers were probably surprised and glad to see him back in No Way Home (because I'm assuming they're not watching all of the Disney+ shows). Even the New York Comic Con trailer alone would suffice at this point.
