Marvel Studios has us covered.

Too bad most people won't :csad:

And his being mentioned for a sequel means nothing considering the writers who mentioned him have nothing to do with the sequel.

It most likely means that they knew he was an option if nothing else, meaning they have the rights to him.

It doesn't mean he will actually be in it though, I agree.

Here's why I think its important: Characters arent sold and bought by themselves. Sony didnt buy just Spider-man...they got Spider-man and all associated characters. If Marvel held on to Cable then it was Cable and all associated characters...that would/might include Apocalypse (since Cable and him are archnemesis..ssss).
Ohhohoho
but they have

They were hiring writers for lesser known properties including Cable, why FOX doesn't have him instead is beyond me.
Gathering of scribes will help Marvel come up with creative ways to launch its lesser-known properties, such as Black Panther, Cable, Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, Nighthawk and Vision.

It means they were interested in using him because they assumed that he being an x-men character he would be available, the studio probably didn't warn them or they didn't see the characters available.

You're standing by something that is clearly not factual?

Is there anything "official" besides the article above that shows he still belongs to Marvel? I'm personally assuming thats a misprint unless I saw something from someone who would know.

It defies common sense that Fox would own 100+ X-Men mutants and NOT Cable.

I'm not saying i'm absolutely right by the way. If there is some evidence otherwise then I stand corrected, but i've never seen it.

Yeah, I agree. Someone must've been misquoted or misspoke. It makes no sense at all that Fox would have every other mutant under the sun but NOT Cable.

Either way, even if Marvel does still have Cable (And Hope Summers, which is obviously a given), again I ask what would be the point of using them? Without the X-Men, Apocalypse, or mutants in general, they really have no story. Hope especially. She can repower millions of people who don't exist, much less be named?

Without their origins and their ties, neither character has anything to offer. They'd be better off making movies on brand new characters, since making movies about them would require them to change them both up so much that they may as well be brand-new characters, anyway.

I think Captain Britain would work as a good tv show, get the Dr Who guys to do it ... or someone.

Captain Britain wouldn't rely too much on effects similar to Captain America?

Moon Knight movie would hit the spot just right with me.

Apparently I need to update my list to include Blade.
Speaking of things that will have to wait, Quesada said now that Marvel has regained the rights on film to the Punisher and Blade, some kind of movement on bigger media projects with them can be expected but not any time soon. In a related "wait and see" moment, the CCO said that there are more plans for the heroes of Cosmic Marvel.

If done right, Captain Britain would be too much for a tv budget.

Then again, that all depends on how this Hulk project turns out.

Then again, a little wire work. Throw around an suv or two. It works. Sure, why not.

if Blade and Sub-Mariner can be permanently brought back under Marvel Studios, that will quasi-satisfy me..

So what's the deal with these marvel short films I'm hearing about?

i hope that some short animated films come out, based on "non-typical" characters, such as the Inhumans and others..

There is only one actor that would probably be able to take things past what Wesley Snipes did

Michael Jai White

He is the next Blade. Or burst. Unless they get Wesley Snipes back. If no Wesley Snipes then Michael Jai White

I personally think Snipes would love to take on the role again

it would be cool if he appeared in one of the epilogues for a marvel movie.. one of the principals of the film is alone on a dark street, they are followed by a Stranger, turns out to be a vampire.. maybe the “victim” is Pepper or someone like that, then before she can use her Pocket Repulsor (made by Tony), Blade shows up and chops the vampires head off..
Blade: “baby, I’m back!”

^No please. Besides the fact that he's thrown his hat in for Luke Cage, Blade isn't much of a superhero, imho. A cool character, but I'd rather see Elba in something that integrates much better.

To each his own, Elba would bring blade to new volumes if written correctly IMO
And he has expressed interest in blade and Luke cage I believe.
