So...I just want to be clear. Iron Man is Marvel Studio's first film as an entity right? I know Marvel Comics had minor involvement in previous Marvel related films...but this is the first time that Marvel Studio's department has been involved in film?

If that's the case...how much involvement does Marvel Studio's have in the film creation process? It seems like if they are making a department devoted to film...then it would seem they chose to do that in order to get more control over their properties in the film format...

Marvel studios has complete control over the process because, well, they're the ones making the films.

ahh, see that's where I was the most confused. I wasn't sure if they were involved more with distribution and the money side of thigns or if they had creative control.

That might explain why Iron Man was just so dang good then :)

Well technically Paramount is distributing the films (except for TIH) but Marvel Studios handles the actual production.
