Well with the dlc coming back....I may consider buying it used now.

Yea, I'm lame, what can I say. :p

So we really don't know when it is coming back but they hope before the 4th of July if I understand correctly. I don't have live and have to go to my sisters place to access the market place/connect. Can someone please post on here when it is up?

Joystiq is saying that this dlc will be up till Dec 31st, then it'll be gone for good.

I really don't like how much of a ***** she has for the X-Men. Someone complained to her about this barely had any classic Avengers in it & she told them to go play MUA1. WTF!?

Also, it confuses me how there's so many X-Men. But Cyclops is ignored...again. He was pretty good in MUA1, just copy & paste his moves.

Yeah I remember when she said that, I also remember getting banned from that place for calling her a dumba** punt (replace the p with a c) for making such a stupid comment.

Those developers are idiots, they made lame excuses for not adding certain characters and even lamer excuses for adding the ones they did.

So has the DLC already been put up or are we still playing the waiting game?

There up and there 800 points and I have 750:cmad:

Now I gotta buy points just to get the damn DLC, I guess I'll use the rest of my points for a COD map pack or something

So its back up? Cool. Are the characters and missions in 2 seperate DLC packs or together? How much does it cost?

Might have to purchase this DLC, it's been a while since I played UA2

Anyone know when it will be released on the PS3? I thought it wuld be up this week but its not

its been up on xbox live for a good while now, since last friday at least, thats when i downloaded it. Gotta say Cable is a freakin powerhouse, hes definatley my fave followed by Magneto, Black Panther, Carnage and then Psylocke last.

Again though, Im already getting bored of the characters because there is so little they can do in the game, the same reptitive grapple, charge attack, then 4 special moves and thats it, I miss the custom throws, extreme attacks, boosts, and more specials from MUA1

I don't miss the extreme attacks at all from MUA1. They were almost all the same radial attack with a few variations. It was just a kill everything on the screen move. I also don't miss more specials, since I mostly stuck with two moves and one boost anyway. But I agree on the custom throws.

so you dont ever get bored of characters that can only do the same 4 moves and same boring grapple? I expect a lot more out of my games

It didn't annoy me in the first XML. And I find 4 useful moves a lot better than having 8 moves, of which 2-3 are only really useful. In MUA2 you get 4 moves. Separate boosts are done away with, because now they are combined with an offensive move and the Fusion attack is also separate and doesn't occupy one of your face buttons.

I prefer XML2 which had 6-8 active powers. MuA1 dropped it to 4-6 and MuA2 dropped it down to 3-4

I like the 4 powers too. I didn't use half of the powers in MUA1. Most of them weren't even attacks, just boosts that were stuck to one character.

I figured, that with the re-release of the DLC that alot of people would be playing this more. Doesn't seem to be the case here. I couldn't find a single game last night. And I've yet to play any Co-op on this game.:cmad:

As far as new characters go. I have a team of Juggernaut, Psylocke, Cable and Daredevil. I used Magneto for a while, he's great, but I'll wait to closer to the end to use him more. Carnage is cool, but he just doesn't really do anything that great for me. And I"m sure at some point I'll use Black Panther again, I liked having him in MUA:1.

Are there any other secret team combos I may be missing? I know of the wisecrackers, double date and the basics. But I wasn't sure if part 2 had any new ones added. Thanks!!

I agree. I liked having choices between the powers I used and I could swap them out whenever I wanted.

All around XML2 handled everything much better.

Yeah I liked the choices. The argument I hear against it is that most wont use all the powers. So what? Just bc you wont, doesnt mean others wont as well. I liked the variety. Some characters need that many, like Storm. Given the range of her abilities, 3 or 4 simply doesnt cut it as far as making an effective Storm in the game.. I think they cut it down bc of lazyness and lack of creative as far as coming up with stuff to make the characters diverse. Funny bc gamers can and have come up with movelists for various characters which could be implemented that arent as redundant as what the developers came up with

LOL. But "gamers" are not the ones that have to implement that stuff. You dont just snap your figures and poof its in the game. It takes time and more importantly money to do ANYTHING in terms of developing a video game. Development is all about give and take, for every one thing you do, thats something else you can't do. Activision prob had these guys on a strict time table and or budget. Im sure they wanted to give you 50 powers for each character and a thousand costumes, but saying it and actually implementing it are 2 very different things.
