Marvel Universe Villains Yet To Appear In Cinema

[The Villain]

This is just a thread to see who or what essential main stream, secondary, lesser known or even forgotten about Marvel villains that could be interesting to have as a movie character.

I'll start of with a list of characters that I feel are really a mixed bunch but nontheless feel they could make decent movie material given a good writer, actor etc.

What film, hero, story, actor etc could the following be best suited to if Marvel Studios agreed to use them.

Also add if you wish your own list of top 10 characters & opinions for say the next 10 years of future projects. Even if you have an obsure one or two in mind add it & reason as to why.

The following list is a random character pick & a few will probably never see the light of day but again you never know with Marvel what surprises are yet to be revealed.

Mysterio is a Webb favourite so I'm sure he may end up in next ASM3 or 4.

Super Skrull is probably my favorite character in MvC3, so I'm waiting for his big screen debut.

Well after Dan Slotts interesting day on set of ASM2 he told Webb when asked about next villains for movie he said Mysterio.

Matt Tolmach & Webb seemed interested with suggestions.

When Dan Slott, writer of the comic book version of Spider-Man's adventures, visited the set of Amazing Spider-Man 2, he had a conversation with Webb about possible film villains. Here's Slott's report of the intriguing conversation, and another possibility.

Near the end of the day, Marc Webb and producer Matt Tolmach, were having a discussion, and Marc waved me over.
"Dan, tell us what you think. If you could choose a villain for the next movie, someone who hasn't been in a Spider-Man film yet, who would it be?"
Didn't even take a second. Didn't have to think about it. I've already got my guy.
"Mysterio."
"Why Mysterio?"
"He's the Master of Illusion. He's perfect for a movie. He's made for movies. Any special effect shot you've ever wanted to do, you could do. Like THAT! Mysterio would be awesome in a movie."
And Marc Webb gestured to Matt Tolmach as if to say, "See? What'd I tell you."



Hammerhead over Kingpin I would prefer that for Spider Man.

For Doctor Strange, I want to see Dormammu, Shuma Gorath, Blackheart, Karl Mordo, Mephisto and Cthon

With Hulk, I know we already SAW Leader but we never saw him become evil. I also want to see General Ross become Red Hulk but we also SAW him so I didn't include any Hulk villains as the only ones that we haven't seen that I really want to see are The Gamma Corps (with a lineup of Red Hulk, Axon, Grey, Mess and Gideon) and Mercy. Mercy has the potential to be this creepy serial killer who wants to "save" Hulk by killing him, thus ending his torment and the Gamma Corps would be fun to watch chase him around.

With regards to Daredevil, the only villains of his that I didn't see yet who I still want to see are Spot and Owl. Typhoid Mary, Elektra, Kingpin and Bullseye were already done but I'd like to see them done right before moving on to new enemies. Well, Owl can be a starter villain but Fox still used his top 4 and did them WRONG.

I know about Graviton since I watch the show, but this thread's subject is for cinema. So I brought it up.

Taskmaster would be great as a "Dragon", an enforcer type enemy. His mercenary background fits for this, and he's light on special fx, so he wouldn't be expensive (aside from the actor maybe). It'd be great to watch Cap or Black Widow or Hawkeye to beat him hand to hand only for him to smirk and then use the same moves to take back the win. Or he could wield Cap's shield or Hawkeye's bow. There's so much you could do with him in cinema

I know about Graviton since I watch the show, but this thread's subject is for cinema. So I brought it up.

If Graviton was being built up from tv series to say Avengers movie do you think people would like that as a link in or still would they prefer Thanos, Korvac etc?

Graviton is a well established character but maybe some feel he is less of a challenge for a movie compared to those mentioned.

Personally if Whedon does infact go Graviton for Avenger 3 I think it will be a great move on his part.

Apocalypse and Thanos (imo) are the big ones. The cool thing is they will likely both have their shining moments within like 5 years.

Dormammu, Mysterio and Surtur will be fun when they show up too. And it's awesome I don't have to say "if they show up."
