Claremont number 1 !!!

There's a chance he could resurrect Jean and make it believable..

yea whoever does do this needs 2 be an established marvel x-men writer 2 rework what x3 created >deaths. peace.

Joss Whedon should've directed X3.
I hope he directs X4.
Ratner did do a good job with X3, even though I believe that Joss Whedon would've done better than Ratner and Singer.

Of that list only Whedon has film credentials. I mean, sure Claremont was a good writer and Miller is doing wonderful things these days but I just don't think they would see the differences between the two mediums.

I'd definitely prefer Marvel writers to be involved than generic action writers. Whedon could direct a Marvel script.

Whedon - definitely. Works well with young ensemble actors (Buffy, Firefly, Serenity) AND importantly, loves the comics.
Claremont - no (are you kidding, his old stuff was great but have you read the cr@p that he has been writing lately). I gave up a few years ago.
Millar - really cool stuff, his stuff is very cinematic but more suited to Avengers than X-Men

What about -
Bendis - good dialogue, funny
Vaughan - great plots, cliffhangers

Whedon would be great just from a movie perspective, plus he writes a pretty decent comic. ;)

Claremont, yes I agree. He deserves respect for what he has done, but there comes a time when you have to call it quits Claremont. :(

Millar lol, if you read Ultimates you know he loves the pop culture references and always has huge cinematic moments, and everyone is a bad a$$.

Bendis He would kill everyone and say he is the best writer ever!

Vaughn He totally owns, and his run on Ultimate X-Men has been the best IMO.

Too bad the chances of those guys working together on X4 are about the same as Ellen Page magically showing up in my room.......naked.

yea i feel this a must for the next film. marvel knows the real hardcore fans didnt enjoy the film. so there gonna need some experience x-men writers 2 come in and clean the mess up. i did enjoy the film but felt the story should have been stronger. peace.

I'd love to see Joss Whedon directing X4.

And MY GOD, NO! No Bendis!

I could see Claremont and Millar writing it. Or maybe just Claremont and some hardcore X-Men fan like the writers from X2, I dunno.
