Marvel's March 2014 Solicitations

Excited for Lopez on Captain Marvel. Not excited for that $3.99 price point.

Nice cover for Captain Marvel. I'll probably get it.

Deadpool 26 has me excited. Not only are the "flashback" issues fun, but this will have Nick Fury in it. I don't remember the last time I saw him. I think it was Battle Scars for me. Anyways, the antics and lampshading on the era that Pool will inevitably do will drive Nick insane hah.

Really curious on the new Ghost Rider. Him being in a car once should prove to be interesting hmm....also what creates him? Johhny Blaze is going to be running around with the T Bolts, and Danny's still out there somewhere right?

Huh. Thunderbolts has me interested in VEnom's personal mission. I have to admit, the book's been getting better as of late.

Looking forward to She-Hulk, I hope it's a solid title.

So March of 2014 is officially the date that $2.99 Marvel comics died for me. Every Marvel title that I buy is now $3.99.

And remember how Marvel made the $3.99 jump? They started with special issues, oversized issues, anniversary issues. And then they slowly, one-by-one, made regular titles $3.99.

Well, We have annuals, oversized issues, and anniversary issues at $4.99 now, including X-Men 300 and Miracleman 1. I have a feeling these $2.99s are quickly being gotten rid of for the subtle jump to $4.99.

With Young Avengers done, New Avengers is the only non-X-Men book from Marvel that I'm buying now (and I'm debating on dropping that). I'm tempted to pick up Moon Knight, but I doubt I will. I've never been the biggest Ellis fan.

Kind of disenchanting. More so because they've finally launched more than 2 titles I want to read: Fantastic Four by Robinson, Moon Knight, Silver Surfer, and The Punisher. But I can't afford to buy them all monthly.

I'll probably pick up the first issues and then trade-wait. I might just pick up Daredevil monthly. Besides, The Punisher will probably be cancelledby the end of the year anyway. Miracleman, I can wait for the hardcover. It reads better that way.

I'm planning on picking up the Miracleman trades. I've already read Moore's run, so why rush out to spend $5 per issue? I figure I'll just wait until the trades hit Half Priced Books and pick them up half off.
