Mass Effect 2

So one of the achievements is to complete 5 missions that are on unexplored worlds, which ones are they and which systems are they in?

doesn't matter, you might scan a planet and find a radio signal that leads you to a Blue Suns base or a facility overrun by husks

I believe it's anywhere you scan with a Planetary Anomaly.

1. Jacob's Favor Mission
2. Prothean Treasure
3. Claiming Aria's treasure

Think those are the only 3 I've come into contact so far.

I think you'll get it if you are just scanning each planet when you travel to a system.

it can't be a mission that you get from a character or that is assigned to you....you have to find it by scanning planets

You still have to scan the planet for Jacob's mission, so I'm guessing it counts. I'll let ya know once I stumble on 2 more of them if I'm right or not.

Also, Penny Arcade had a funny comic strip based on Mass Effect. I'd post it but it has "profanity" in it. Just go to their site and it should be the previous comic strip from what's on there now.

I saw that comic...pretty funny...I like Yeoman Chambers but

if you bang her, you don't get the Paramour acheivement

Yeah, I followed the steps...and I've got all three of the Dr. Pepper DLC. They seem pretty cool.

Zaeed started right after you picked him up.

Jacob started after Horizon. I just kept talking to people and the favor missions started going up, like with Mordin and Jack.

I was told that Miranda needed to talk to me, then she asked a favor and that Grunt is upset and I had to talk to him.

You'll need to talk to your squad on the personal level first, then Kelly will tell you that 'so-and-so' wants to talk to you or is doing something that implies something around those lines. They should start around the time you get the first round of squad mates or a little before that.

Thanks alot for the info.

Dr. Pepper is running some EA promotional stuff with DLC for certain games, which includes Mass Effect 2. There's three stuff they have for people up at they're site so you can download it for use in ME2. Headgear, pretty much. There's a pair of goggles, a visor, and a ninja looking hood. The Sentry Interface, Umbra Visor, and Recon Hood. You can google them to take a look. I think there's pictures of them on the official Mass Effect website too, under arsenal armor.

You sign up for an account at Dr. Pepper's website (in this case, three accounts to get everything) and you input the code and redeem some in-game items.

You link it up with your EA account, and it's supposed to link up with your Xbox account.

I like the Sentry Interface, but it didn't seem to work for me.

I picked up all those whenever they leaked a day before release. I haven't used them once :o

Yeah, even if I could get them to work, I would still prefer the visor I bought on Omega.

Thanks much. So, I just need to buy three Dr. Peppers then right? With the codes on them obviously. I bought one the other day and the ME2 DLC wasn't available yet so I just used the code for a wallpaper.

I haven't been using my Terminus Armor because I just LOVE the Dragon Armor. I might change it up when I play next.

I never used my Inferno Armor. I actually think it's kind of BS the way Bioware handled that bonus stuff.

well it has yielded results so that's probably going to be the business model for the time being

I used the Inferno armor before the first talk with The Illusive Man, it was frackin fugly so I switched it out. :csad: Out of all the armors I can only stand the Terminus and Collectors, I didn't download the Blood Dragon armor when I had the chance because the stats didn't appeal to me. :o

The promotional armor sets did cause a pretty big backlash on the Bioware forums though. So unless they change the way they build the art assets for future armor I don't think it will have a positive outcome next time.

Considering it sold what 2.6 million copies of Mass Effect 1 and in just it's first week Mass Effect 2, sold 2 million copies, I doubt they are going to change much. People just don't like feeling they are missing out.

You misundertand me. I don't care that certain stores get exclusive items. At all. In fact I've tried to convince people, on these very forums no less, that this sort of thing isn't a big deal.

My gripe is with the way these items were implemented in-game. They shouldn't have been made as complete sets. They should have broken them down into pieces so you could mix and match them with the default armors in the game. That's all.

"The Blood Dragon armor" actually pretty cool looking. http://i45.tinypic.com/23uokd3.jpg The stats bonus is pretty irrelevant for the most part imo, mostly a cosmetic thing. From the promo screenshots the "Inferno armor" looked pretty cool, in-game the face showing through glass face makes it looks weird. The "Terminus Armour" also looks very weird with a female model. I think they were pretty lazy putting these in (possibly due to clipping issues), when the character drinks and what not the mask is still on.
