Mass Effect 2

Eh, the Dr. Pepper codes are probably out there for free because it's the same code that can be used multiple times. That being said, I don't use any of the DP stuff, or the Terminus armor at all...
Same here. Got all of it for free - GameStop buddy gave me the code, and I found the DP code online and just used it multiple times.

None of it's really worth it. The Sentry Headpiece from Dr. Pepper, maybe. That's it, really.

I'm not a fan of most helmets in this game. I prefer seeing facial expressions.

Well I went ahead and bought all the exclusive DLC off ebay, money spent well IMO. The experience was great, no foul ups.

Now...has anyone heard of Bioware releasing some sort of weapons pack before Lair of the Shadow Broker? Someone over at gamefaqs said that.

I'm hoping for more weapon packs, and more alternate appearance packs too.

If anyone who wants to go through Insanity still hasn't done it, the weapons make it a lot easier. :o

Good to know, I attempted to get through Insandity but it just felt insanely cheap....

They're beastly. I can't even imagine what they'd be like on Casual lol. the little mechs you fight, I shoot their legs off with the pistol in 2 shots on Insanity.

Insanity was easy with the game's regular weapons. :o

wordd. with the new weapons I'm tearing through the game like there's nobody to fight. :word:

The only weapon I'd really make any common use of with my primary character, a Soldier, is the Phalanx pistol, I think. Maybe the Mattock early on, but not once I get the Revenant, and even then, I'd really have to test it against the Vindicator.

It'd depend on how fast the Geth Plasma Shotgun charges in Adrenaline Rush, too. Eviscerator + Adrenaline Rush puts things away, even if you can usually only get off one shot. It actually makes the Scimitar a much more viable candidate, though I prefer the bulkiness of the Eviscerator. And I can use the Viper for quick-fire high-damage bursts if I have to.

I just beat the game for the first time. I had the loyalty of all the characters but Garris, Jack, Grunt, and someone else all died. How do you keep them all alive?

Dude, I'd replay the game again. I wouldn't want to play Mass Effect 3 without Garrus.

I just thought that Insanity felt a bit... "cheap" at times.

I've read that upgrading your squad is also important, as the squad's collective defense rating can determine if someone dies while defending the choke point during the last leg of the final mission.
The people you leave on the line is one of the more important parts of the game for determining survivability. Basically, the best strategy is to never, ever do anything with Grunt other than leave him on the line. If you've got him and Zaeed and/or Legion, basically everyone but your absolute weakest characters are pretty safe unless they aren't loyal. A guide I read said it was a good idea to send Moridin back with the survivor(s) from the crew too, because even if he's loyal, he's so not suited to holding a defensive line that he sometimes dies anyway.

I'm pretty sure Legion is counted as a squishie there, Corp. It's all about Grunt, Garrus, and Zaeed, in that order. And they only really count if they're loyal.

Furthermore, any squadmates brought along to the final boss must be loyal, else dead as pigs who inhabit straw houses.
