Just another American weekend.10-year-old boy arrested for alleged mass shooting threat, texts about school violence, police say
The Hillsborough sheriff charged an 18 year-old man for threatening a school shooting
Cripes, a 10yr old, a 16 yr old and now a 18 year old charged with mass shooting
All threats have to be taken seriously and dealt with harshly, especially straight after such a horrible attack.
Blaming video games no longer works so now they need something new (not gun culture) to blame on gun violence.

While on the other hand, they may overreact and over charge. Take it seriously, yes. But they are also kids who likely need help.
and a nearby school where I live had a kid(16) being arrested for claiming he's going shoot up the school
idiots
So I’m not proud to say that I got kicked out of school and institutionalized in 8th grade for making a verbal threat in school in the principal’s office. I was a troubled teen and angry and depressed just wanted to get sent home for the day. This was a few weeks after columbine so I was unaware how serious the school reaction would be. I didn’t get arrested or charged but I never returned to the school and spent the entire summer in a mental hospital. I am one of the lucky ones who went on to be a productive adult and haven’t been in any trouble since. All threats should be taken seriously of course. Ignoring the situation let’s people slip through the cracks. I should probably thank him for kicking me out and not pressing charges. I wanna preface that I didn’t have any access to weapons and in my heart it wasn’t a real threat but they still took it very seriously. I basically said “they stole my idea” but nothing more detailed than that. This is the first time I’ve brought this up since 8th grade so I hope anyone reading understands that I’m a changed individual.
They absolutely 100% shot some of those kids.
I didn’t have a filter and would just say whatever came to mind. The doctors in the hospital ended up diagnosing me with bipolar disorder. I spent a few years talking to therapists too.I had access to weapons and bombs but not once I ever thought of using them even though I had hell at my old school, even the teachers were POS and the principal let the football team get away with that attack on me
As a gamer obviously I don’t want games to suffer because some idiot prefers to blame them over the real reasons, but on the plus side it would be entertaining seeing the reactions of Gamergate guys if their tireless campaigning led to their only hobby getting banned.Texas Congressman Blames Rap Music and Video Games, Not Guns For Texas Shooting
I knew it was only a matter of time before some ignoramus blamed video games for the recent shooting. As for blaming rap
Did the Columbine shooters listen to rap? No.
Did the Sandy Hook shooter listen to rap? No.
Did the Aurora theater shooter listen to rap? No.
Did the Vegas shooter listen to rap? No.
Great that you’ve turned yourself around and stayed out of trouble while also contributing to society, well done.So I’m not proud to say that I got kicked out of school and institutionalized in 8th grade for making a verbal threat in school in the principal’s office.
