It sounds like it was over quickly, but yeah, so scary when it happens right near you.
Louisville is pretty blue though. This can happen anywhere anytime but reconfirms my intention of never moving to or visiting a red state.
That totally sucks. Hope things calm down for you tomorrow.Louisville is pretty blue though.
There was an additional shooting at a community college in Louisville today that left 1 dead and another injured. That shooter fled and is still on the loose.
Then my office building was locked down and I wasn’t able to leave for almost an hour after there was a threat against another tenant.
Truly terrifying day.
Over quickly but you still get mass causualties because AR-15's are the bread and butter of a certain type (mass shooters). It sounds like it was over quickly, but yeah, so scary when it happens right near you.![]()
Yes but the gun laws are for the entire stateLouisville is pretty blue though.

Sorry to hear of this happening so close to you mate. Sending best wishes to you all.I’m as pro-gun control as you can get. But right now, as I am learning details and realizing just how few degrees of separation that I personally have with this shooting (I am hearing of old friends who recently took up work at that bank and one who would’ve been there but for running late to work that morning), I’m just not there yet to use this as exhibit A for a political purpose. I and my community are grieving now. Righteous indignation will come later.
It's good that the community is helping those affected, it lets them know people care. I did hear the governor talk about his mentor, it was devastating to see him so shattered. My office where I work is letting a couple of CPA firms that worked in the bank building that was shot up yesterday come in and squat in our conference rooms and spare offices until they regain access to their building. It’s really surreal to see the impact that a shooting like this has on a community.
Interestingly enough, one of the shooting victims was a friend and mentor to our governor.
And it's all financed by the NRA making sure politicians do nothing.Crazy how people just let Conservatives shoo off mass murder. Felt a long time ago that they have to be shown the aftermath photos. If anyone needs to see the sensitive photos of dead kids piled on top of each other in a classroom as a AR15 sporting killer culls them, I don't know what could crack the sociopath psychosis.
It's the assault weapons, they are people killers and shouldn't be sold to any schlub off the street with a credit card and a motive. None of these spree killers were criminals before they murder a room of people. People selling firearms needs to be watched a hell of a lot more than people think they are. There are less than 1500 ATF agents in the whole country, think about that. By design.
Sooner or later people will have had enough, right? And vote these bozos out. With the NRA as weak as it is, the Republicans incompetent and squabbling amongst themselves and ever rising public anger, something might finally break with gun regulation. Would not hold my breath on anything too dramatic though, at least not yet.
Must be Saturday in America. So sick of this crap already.
It's not safe anywhere.Yeap never leaving New York. Too loose gun laws pretty much everywhere else
