Not exactly physically what I'd imagine for He-Man. And given his body type, unsure if he can physically turn out that way even given a lot of work. Is there any He-Man version that doesn't look like a body builder a la Arnold Schwarzenegger in his early years?

On a different note - hopefully they keep the barely wearing anything costume the same.

Like, I associate He-Man with a time before I knew I was gay but then my love for He-Man was probably the first sign that I was gay and now this actor that I have a huge crush on is playing him and all I can think about is him in a loin cloth and a harness and…

I grew up with the 2002 adaptation, so the more inspiration that can take from that series, the more interested I'll be in it.

It was also my introduction to the franchise. Very underrated series, wish it lasted longer than it did.

For me it was the original 80's toon. The toyline was killer. Castle Greyskull playset was one of my favorite childhood toys. I'll always have a soft spot for this franchise.

I wouldn't be opposed to Mark Strong, but that might be too much typecasting for him.

What about David Dastmalchian? He can do funny really well, but he can also do serious and threatening really well, too.
