Moses is pretty much the main face of Judaism. He led the Jews out of slavery in Egypt and founded their society. The Jews don't exactly believe Jesus was all that special.

Edit: Apparently the Law Giver (the one with the statue) was an orangutan. Also, he didn't seem to care for humans, which makes it unlikely that the Law Giver is Caesar.

It's funny because if we extend the real world parallel that Law Giver stuff could easily be some church propaganda added later on.

The movie comes out in 7 different places this week so that should help the movies OS numbers some.

The marketing and release date seem to have failed the film. Opening this weekend would've been a better option, away from the stronger films.

Rise and Dawn had weaker competition.

Perhaps with Dawn's huge haul they thought the film would open at the same level but going up against the second weekend of an MCU film means you're opening up against a film that will earn $40-$50 million.

I enjoyed the film but most of the people I've talked to didn't really like it. Could be in this climate, filmgoers want a more fun escape (CBMs) then a more serious one like War.

Agree with everything here except [BLACKOUT]Serkis coming back as Cornelius.[/BLACKOUT]. I think a new actor should play him as [BLACKOUT]Serkis as Caesaris a special performance for me[/BLACKOUT].

Serkis made Caesar into such a wonderful character, I don't want to see him play anyone else in this franchise.

Almost a week after seeing it I still can't get this movie out of my head. Hoping to see it again but will be tough with my work schedule.

BTW, has the little girl who played Nova been in anything else? I thought she was fantastic and if this was her first role it's even more impressive.

I thought Michael Giacchino kinda phoned it in with Doctor Strange and Rogue One but his War score was incredible. It sounds like a score to a 50 year old classic. One of the stronger scores in recent memory.

It isn't that low to kill it. I'm sure Fox will release a film in 3-4 years that starts off a new trilogy set in the future. They always circle back to their franchises to fill holes in their schedule.

To me, this year has been a return to form for Giacchino. I enjoyed his Spider-Man soundtrack, but War has probably my favorite movie soundtrack since the Batman trilogy.

Doctor Strange had a great theme but yeah the rest was lackluster. I do LOVE the end credits track and the way it calls back to old psychedelic rock.
