DC Superheroes just shot up a huge notch for a lot of people today.

Everything. Past films, animated shows, and anything from the DC comics library. This means that a Four Horsemen sculpted JLA is probably gonna happen soon. SDCC may even have some products to show.

So long as Mattel can shape up their spotty distribution and case ratios, this is utterly fantastic news. Best figure news I've heard in months.

That is by far the best fig news I've heard all year.

I hope that they keep up with the obscure villains though and don't keep it all mainstream. I also hope that they can pick up in some places that DCD is lacking and see what fans want ans stuff like that.

Here's hoping thier first new wave has a Ted Kord Blue Beetle.

A Ted Kord Blue Beetle would be a great choice, but I'd say he's a long shot. Knowing Mattel, they'll want the most top tier characters possible.

I'm fairly sure they'll debut at least a couple at SDCC. I look forward to their version of Wonder Woman and Flash.

Damn, I figured this would happen eventually, but I didn't think so soon. Now I feel as though my whole DC collection was a waste :(

i've slacked off on dcd a bit anyways. i'll still pick up a few of their's every now and then, but i'm hoping dcsh will take off similarly to legends and continue on for a few years to allow for a large dc universe collection that is consistent in scale, sculpt, and articulation - which is something that dcd has never offered.

dcd is still going to be the place for some of the lower-key characters, story-specifics, and artist-specifics.

Good! But this is still damn good news. I've been wanting to hear this.

I can't believe this thread isn't HUGE.

I'll bet that they (DCSH) Stick with the themed waves, IE just one hero per wave.

Like a Flash Wave with

Flash
Captain Cold
Proffessor Zoom
Mirror Master
Pied Piper

Stuff like that......I really want them to make an uncle Sam.

i wouldn't mind themed waves like they've been doing, but i'd be surprised if they go with that route. i'd say they'll mix up the characters in all the waves, which might show a more consistent sales curve instead of the character-themed waves, which would probably tend to fluctuate a lot more. i just can't see a wonder woman wave selling as well as a batman or superman wave.

Guy Gardner
Sinestro
Mongul
John Stewart

Series 2
Kyle Rayner
Kilowog
Guardians 2 pack
Alan Scott
Star sapphire

wouldn't suprise me is hasbro did themed waves... thats what they were doing with the batman/superman ones

I just hope that they hold off on the BAF style fr now....because I don't want to have to get them all.......They are hard enough to find as it is, plus I have a bunch of them already from DCD.

really? i see them all the time in target.. o wait.. you dont get target

I saw them all the time at Target too....

My TRU has about 8 or 9 pegs for them....all of which are cloged with Superman, Supergirl and Bizzarro.

which supergirl? the one with a headband would make a good gwen stacy i bet

Mattel gets all of DC. Yet were going to get 100 superman toys and one lex in every box. They should have given the license to a toy company that knows how to pack thier toys.

Hoorah! But wait- unless Mattel improves its distribution in Europe massively, I'll never see any of them anyway.
