The New Power Rangers discussion thread

Ron Wasserman won't be doing the music for the new season

Hello Everyone,

Well I just heard from Jonathan Tzachor that they have someone else doing the music for Saban's new Power Rangers and I will not be involved in any capacity.

So, after so many years of involvement with the show, I think it's best to put it in my past, be happy for all the great years I was involved with it and just let it go.

I sincerely wish big success and a long run for all who will be involved with the new production.

To the PR fans - Thanks so much for always making me feel so appreciated for my work on the show.

Over and out!

Best,

Ron Wasserman

PS - I'll still be at Morphicon on Saturday August 28th. So see some of you there!

^I'm gonna miss that guy.

I've been loving Linkara's rundowns, so I skipped ahead and watched the opening episodes of Time Force. It was awesome, one of the best premieres for sure. I can't believe it's almost ten years old!

She still looks good to me, the guy who played Justin looks like he should be on Jersey Shore.

Whoops I forgot to mention Jessica Rey in the pictures as well. She played Wildforce pink.

She's on the right of Tracey in the top picture

Cerina's left in the bottom picture.

I wonder if people here know about Jason david Frank and his venture into MMA

Oh well... I liked Zeo...

It was Turbo that I feel was a notch down...

Felt like Voltron or Transformers or something

Is the kid rangers saga at the end of season 3 worth checking out? I'm going over the highlights of the series and I'm dreading a stretch of episodes packed to the gills with little kid actors, especially since that one seems important to the overarching story.

Long time since I watched it... but I would say it's worth watching.

I hated those episodes personally. I also hated the alien rangers and their asses for heads. I can't believe Billy hooked up with one of those buttheaded alien chicks.

I was ok with the kid rangers... they turned back into their original bodies one by one across several episodes which was interesting to me as a child...

As for the Alien Rangers, yea that was really really weird now that I look back on it.

thats why I said after Zeo. I stopped watching it early on but it was Turbo where I completely stopped caring. The series had gotten pretty stale by that point

Walter hasnt even aged since hsi MMPR days. Steve on the other hand...or maybe its just the hat.

PR stopped being top notch after IS/LG. Turbo was just a hiccup till the end of the season.

Actually Billy was the only one to turn back into an adult(which has consequences in Zeo)

The kids were then asked to search for the zeo crystal. When they were teens they had broken the crystal into five pieces and scattered it across time.

Each of the kids jumped into a time portal to begin their zeo quest.

Using the zeo crystal the kids could turn back time to its proper time. Aisha
decided to stay in the past but gave her Zeo crystal to Tanya.

Meanwhile Goldar and Rito set up a bomb under the command center.

Time is reversed using the zeo crystal. Everyone is back to beginning a teen. Suddenly the crystal explodes presumably taking Zordon and Alpha with it

Favorite Ranger series:
MMPR-including Alien Rangers. I loved the Green Ranger saga and the White Ranger. Also I loved Kimberly but Katherine was great.
Zeo- The appearance of the most underrated ranger with the most potential…The Gold Ranger baby! Never understood though why Tanya replaced Aisha as yellow ranger (I see above thanks:doh:)
In Space- I loved Astronema and the Psycho Rangers
Lost Galaxy-Iloved Karone lol
Time Force- I loved the fact that the Pink ranger was hot and the leader sort of and there were three Red Rangers sort of (Red Alex, Red Wes, & Quantum Eric)
Dino Thunder- Tommy Oliver, need I say more. Okay then, Mesogog was the coolest villain in PR history (along with Dai Shi in Jungle Fury) and Elsa was pretty hot too.
SPD- It was great and it was kind of linked to Time Force. Also, the fact that they possessed superhuman powers outside of their ranger abilities was a plus (and they were the B-squad no less). Add in the Kat Ranger, SPD Shadow Ranger, Omega Ranger, and the brief appearance of Nova Ranger made this the best of the Disney incarnation. Trivia: did you know there was another SPD ranger that only made print and not TV-The Lightning Ranger—look it up.
RPM-it was just hardcore for a Ranger series anyway. The story surrounding the Black Ranger & Tenaya 7 being brother and sister was great and the post apocalyptic setup made this show.

Yea the Green Ranger and White Ranger is definitely the most memorable episodes...
