The Amazing Spider-Man maybe

I'd say it's 50/50 and if it does happen, it will be in the third film.

I can't even describe how epic it would be if this franchise ended with GG as the villain (and the only villain).

I can see this happening, but I'd be sad if it does happen. I know she dies in the comics, but still.

Well, Webb said that he wants to adapt the Stacy SAGA, which tells me that he's planning on killing her off eventually.

It Marc Webb wants to take his franchise to the next level this is where he needs go. But I don't want to see it until the third film.

It seems, if they are adapting this story, Stacy will die in the sequel, and Gwen will die in the third movie.

I think Captain Stacy will die in this one, no matter what Leary says.

It seems that way, but at the moment I'll follow what Leary said. Until there is some actual confirmation on whether or not he dies, I'll go with him living.

That funeral scene, though...Hmm, what a mystery.

I don't see how it couldn't be him dieing, but who knows, I guess.

I wonder if he'll die from falling rubble liek in the comics?

Well it's not Ben's funeral, for definite.

I'm pretty sure Captain Stacy will die in this movie, possibly from falling rubble. We already saw a picture where Leary looked pretty damn roughed up.

And hell yes to GG and the whole death of Gwen Stacy in the 3rd one.

But I do hope there's more sequels, I want to see MJ and some more of Spidey's rogues.

I think he said he's signed up for more. That doesn't mean a thing. I still think he'll meet his end.

Yup. Could always come back in flashbacks, etc.

And in an interview, on the topic of the set pictures of the funeral, didn't he say something like "I can't talk about the ending"? lol.

I guarantee this is going to happen. Why else use Gwen Stacy if you're not going to do that? I would also think it'd make more sense to do it in film 2, because film 3 would be such a downer to end on that note. I think they desperately need to introduce MJ as a cameo in this one or as a major character in the sequel, so they can play out the final pages of ASM#122 (hers and Pete's best moment in the comics).

With all that said I've had a theory....

Killing off Gwen Stacy on a bridge by the hands of the GG shortly before the Goblin dies himself (by accidental self-impailment) no matter the tone will play JUST LIKE the end of SM1 save that the girlfriend dies and there are (hopefully) no cheesy "You messed with New York!" extras.

That means replaying a famous scene from the first film. Webb/Sony may think that is too redundant. And look there is a bridge scene in this movie. Would they really have a bridge scene twice in the same franchise?

Here's a thought: Lizard takes Gwen to the bridge and the scene happens with a different villain. Just a thought.

I don't want to see Goblin die in the same movie.

Keep Spider-Man's greatest foe alive for at least one more movie.
