McKellen at Special X-men Trilogy Screening

Well, he was appearing at that event in order to promote the screening of all three movies. If he did dislike the third movie, he was hardly likely to say 'And I'd like you all to see the third film, which is a pile of poop I happily starred in.'

As he clearly says, there are 'clear differences' but not a 'violent break' and that is exactly right. Storylines do carry forward, hence no violent break, but there are distinct differences.

I honestly don't think McKellen hates the third movie. He didn't enjoy working with Singer that much, if i recall, so it may have been a more fun experience for him on the third film. He does acknowledge there are 'clear differences' but you can't expect anything else. It took Famke two years to speak up and she is the only one who has.

He couldn't have hated it that much. I mean they did make three movies together after all.:cwink:

Nice writeup on the screening btw. Just to be in the presence of Ian McKellen must have been great and likewise seeing the movies on the IMAX screen. Even if IMO X3 is the least of the films the visuals and the action must be amazing with the sound and picture quality that the IMAX has to offer.
