We will be doing VS. battles for the MCU every week and will be using the Winners and Losers to create an accurate power tier list created by some of it's biggest fans (you). So don't forget to VOTE and after voting for a Winner please include a comment on which power tier, both the Winner and Loser should reside within. Also, see below for more details on the characters abilities as well as for a list of available power tiers to choose from.

Don't forget to put which Tier group you think Jotunheim Beast and Kronan belong to in your posts.
Also, don't forget I've now added the option of being able to change your vote if you change your mind.

So, without further delay here is this week's match up and yes the Kronan has weapons.

JOTUNHEIM BEAST

Vs.

KRONAN

JOTUNHEIM BEAST

- Superhuman Strength: The Jotunheim Beast is strong enough to break free from being encased in solid ice and destroy the ground of solid ice while running. In Thor: The Dark World the Jotunheim Beast was even able to break apart a large portion of a frozen cliff while trying to attack Thor and Malekith.

- Superhuman Durability: The beast is able to withstand the freezing temperatures of Jotunheim and even being frozen alive without consequence.

- Spiked Tail: The Jotunheim beast has a tail with large spikes portruding from it that can dig into solid ice.

KRONAN

- Kronan Physiology: Kronans are an ancient race of rock-like humanoid beings, with superhuman abilities.

- Superhuman Strength: The Kronan Marauder possesses immense superhuman strength, beyond that of an average Asgardian, though not quite on par with that of Thor Odinson. Hence, he was able to send an Einherjar flying with a casual swing of his club.

- Superhuman Durability: The Kronan Marauder's rock-like body is incredibly durable, though still vulnerable to blows from sufficiently powerful opponents, as Thor was able to shatter him into pieces with a single mighty blow of Mjølnir.

- Combatant: The Kronan Marauder was a feared combatant in the fields of Vanaheim, so much so that his allies among the Marauders stepped aside as he approached for battle. However, he was still not a match for Thor with Mjolnir.

Jotunheim beast. I honestly don't see this being a contest at all.

Beast. Easily.

I just want to say hello to all the participants in this game.

I would like to let you all know that I am returning to the forum, and the battle threads. After spending all summer in the hospital with/recovering from Guillian-Barre Syndrome, and the last month and a half recovering at home with out patient physically therapy, and getting re-acclimated to my normal social life, I am near full recovery and will be back to alternating the battles with BigThor. So I will be posting the battle next week.

I missed this game, and I am excited to see we still have the regular weekly participants.

Also, we are almost at our one year anniversary of creating the battle threads. Wow

Glad to hear you are getting better.

looking forward to future battles !

And for my money this one depends on whether the Kronan has weapons - if so the Kronan takes it, if not the turns him into pebbles.

Yes he has weapons.

Kronan.

Feel like these are another two we don't have an awful lot of info on but im swaying towards the Kronan mainly because he was a feared warrior, he has weapons and he if he's anything like Korg he has a brain so will have the mental edge also.

I think the scene with Thor makes him feel really underwhelming but I have to assume the same results would have occurred if he'd the Jotunheim Beast like he did Kronan. And since neither have feats comparable to Mjølnir it doesn't feel that important in this fight.

Thor one shot the Jotunheim beast as well.

Even if the Kronan was as powerful as the Jotunheim Beast, which I don't think he is, there is still the matter of speed. The Kronan seemed slow while the Jotunheim Beast was fast and this speed would definitely give him the upper hand even if all other things were equal.
