MCU SDCC '13 Speculation Thread

Well yesterday during the panel with Quesada a fan asked during the QnA if we'll ever see a minority character on the big screen and Quesada said "It will happen" so out of Marvel's two biggest minority characters, Black Panther and Luke Cage, my bets on Black Panther being announced.

Tonight just goes to show how Marvel "gets" Comic Con in a way most studios don't. The staging and execution of their presentations is a great example of how to know your audience, maximize the reaction to what you got, build up hype, and throw in a couple of surprises along the way.

Tonight was focused squarely at Phase 2 and nothing really on Phase 3. It's about what I expected. There's still a full 2 years and 2 SDCCs before they have to talk about those movies in a lot of detail so it made sense to focus on stuff that's much closer and concrete.

Yea a lot of focus on Phase 2 as I suspected. However they definitely got people hyped for Cap, Thor, GOTG and AOU. Just announcing the title for Avengers was a huge deal. I still suspect that no phase 3 film has been decided on yet and won't be until we get BO for Thor,Cap and GOTG.

I just love the way Joss ended it with the title for Avengers 2.
