Xavier's Institute in the MCU. School with younger students/X-men as teachers or nah?
I vote the latter.
I prefer with just12 to 25 mutants in the mansion. Pre-Grant Morrison days. The x-mansion would feel more intimate.
I wonder if marvel would be brave enough to show a gay iceman. I mean they're owned by Disney who are incredibly gay friendly. Surely they can do better than the weak moment power rangers had where they couldn't make it more ambiguous
What are your reasons for preferring not to have it? (out of interest)
I loved the world that Singer created for the filmverse and along with that making Xavier's Institute into a school. X2 remains my favourite superhero/action/genre movie.
That said, the primary goal of a revived X-men film *should be* to make lead characters out of the X-men: Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Wolvie.
I think having them as teachers *too* distracts from that. In sequels, sure you can delve into that eventually. Even as a Rogue fan, I can wait for an eventual sequel to see her too. I don't need her to be a founding member, maybe even give her the reformed Brotherhood member role.
Really? I reckon they'll just do a hogwarts thing where the students live and study at the school
I suspect they'll do what Ultimate X-Men and Evolution did where about a handful of X-Men went to a regular school during the day but lived at the X-Mansion outside of it. I think that's how Feige will distinguish the new school from the old one. Maybe eventually they might do a full-on mutant school but I don't see it starting out that way.
