Sequels MCU X-Men storylines

Whether or not they decide to change Hank McCoy's ethnicity, I would love them to keep the working class origins of him and his parents as a contrast to Angel's upper class origins. It would be a great way to see how being different is affected by class hopefully without resorting to stereotypes (like saying Hank's family won't accept him because they're too stupid or whatever)

Disney should reboot the X-Men series once more to make it more family friendly and bring back the original storyline of the X-Men fighting discrimination against mutants. Would prefer no Jean Grey as she is too powerful. Rather replace her with Emma Frost (as in New X-Men 139 in 2003), but as an original pupil of Xavier's and romantic partner of Cyclops (I prefer Cyclops + Emma Frost over Jean Grey).

I would be so sad if they missed out on Jean though. I love her. The xmen need her and her compassion.

I would definitely love Emma frost to appear in a sequel though and stir it all up like a great soapie

Anyone got any ideas for future MCU storylines, I loved the issues where X-Men would team up with Doctor Strange.

I think it's time to introduce Omega Red too and maybe reintroduce Lady Deathstrike, there are so many possible routes to take with a fresh start.

I wouldn't mind seeing omega red. OR have the Brood make a visit (OR the phalanx)..

I want them to give us new stuff before they give us the likes of Magneto/Apocalypse/Sentinels again.

Mojoverse- Mojo, Spiral, Longshot
Savage Land- Zaladane, Sauron, mutates
Sinister & Marauders

The Mojo-verse would certainly be fun. And other than some hintings of sinister (such as in AoA, where we saw Sinister show up to collect the blood samples of logan), we've not seen/heard one iota on him..

I would like to see X-Men vs Alpha Flight like X-Men 120-121, that was great.

I wouldn't mind seeing Alpha flight get their OWN storyline..
Same with Xforce/Xfactor and Excalibur

Comic Storylines FOX hasn't used or hasn't used the actual name for.

Of those comic strips i read/liked enough to want to see done;
Age of apocalypse. I loved the dysopian like alternate reality and LOVED seeing Nate grey, and a # of the normal enemies actually working for the good guys!

Legion quest (which lead TO AoA)

Onslaught

Phalanx (already mentioned above), and Executioner's song..

But it could make for a fresh angle on the character to show him coming into his own as this charming swashbuckler in addition to being a great leader, rather than giving all that fun stuff to Wolverine. :cyclops:

They've not yet shown him AS being the great leader that he's always described as...

So I saw a rumor Hugh Jackman would like to appear in the MCU along with other Avengers cast members. I've been waiting to see Wolverine beat the crap out of Tony Stark! Woo hoo!

dont be so sure. If Kinberg after the deal has a hand at Disney, he will force Hugh Jackman whenever he can. Thats how big his obsession with Hugh is

Lol where is hugh in deadpool2,new mutants, and Dark Pheonix than?

Hugh said "Im leaving".
it was Hugh decision.
But Hugh is open to share screentime with the Avengers, so... Kinberg would support that fast.

I randomly googled "mcu magazine covers" which renewed my interest in what kind of in-universe publicity Charles Xavier or Reed Richards would generate alongside the Avengers and Wakanda.

Xavier in particular, since (and this is in the comics) most of the public doesn't know that he's a mutant, and the Fox films haven't given us much of the good professor in that department.

I personally would like to see the X-men film-o-verse become part of MCU canon, but only one timeline... I liked that they were rebooting using time travel, rather than just a do-over. Problem is, they screwed that’s up too.

So... the original timeline would be canon, which would include everything up to 1973 (so First Class, flashback scenes of X-Men origins Wolverine, other good past events, like Magneto’s WWII scene as a boy). Then, the time change by Wolverine in DoFP puts us on the current MCU timeline, which should include Deadpool and any new/different X-men films to come (New Mutants, X-Force, rebooted X-Men perhaps).

The idea is that Apocalypse and Phoenix are actually in the same timeline as X-Men, X2, Last Stand, X-Men Origins modern scenes, and the future scenes of DoFP. When wolverine goes back to ‘73, those other movies go away and everything is nice and tidy. That way, MCU canon can include the cool stuff (First Class, Liev Schriber as Sabertooth, the WWII scene with a young Magneto, Quicksilver’s Pentagon scene, etc).

How would one jive the events of DOFP/Apocalypse with what's gone on in the avengers films though?

Apocalypse would be out of the timeline... my thought is DOFP resulted in the split that separates Apocalypse and the initial trilogy into one timeline, and a new one that is the continuum of the pre ’73 events of x-movie-verse and the MCU.

It may be conventional wisdom that DOFP splits Apocalypse from the initial series, but I think it can be positioned that those are on a single continuum, which was just shown out of order.

The stadium event in DOFP and the scene in Paris were major news events that would be strangely absent from MCU consciousness, but there isn’t anything overtly contradictory. It was decades ago, and those mutant events could now be confused with inhumans, since they emerged on the seen in AoS.

Just start from the start. MCU doesn't need that jumble mess.

For the most part I agree. It is a mess, and the MCU offers a chance at a fresh start. It is just that there are a few elements of the x-movie-verse that I wouldn’t mind seeing retained. First Class, magneto scene as a boy in WWII, Liev Schriber as Sabertooth, Wolverine WWII scenes from origins and the wolverine, Quicksilver pentagon escape (although the 2 quicksilvers is a bit problematic).

All of those are fun scenes, but not one of them is worth keeping for a reboot.

So after Black Panther, I'm very curious to see what kind of direction they take. Initially I just assumed they would do something like Homecoming, but their Black Panther is closer to an X-Men film than a Spider-Man film. That's two radically different directions right there they could take, kinda making X-Men their biggest wild card now.

^ Wouldn't you want something that stands out as an X-Men take? I mean, this is the franchise that paved the way for the MCU and DC comics movies to come back to life.

Agreed on discrimination, not on family friendly though -

The films should be serious. I'm thinking classic stories like 'God Loves, Man Kills' which is more poignant now than it has been in years.

X-Men take: explore the political sphere of the MCU from a ground level.

So far politics have all been address from a GOVERNMENT standpoint - everyone involved in the political stories are soldiers, the military, presidents, weapons manufacturers, and kings, etc.

Charles is a professor of a secret school. The X-Men are common ordinary people contending with the political sphere and discrimination. Magneto even isn't an ordinary person. This is all really grounded.

Looking at the growing politics of the MCU from the ground floor is something the MCU has never done before. The ground level also instantly makes the politics more personal.

Its unlikely to happen.

Exactly

It will be rebooted. No one in Fox-X-men casting can appear in MCU
Jackman was Wolverine in Fox universe, he cant be Wolverine in MCU universe

In MCU I would like to see Sentinels and Sinister
