    both are the same story but setting aside cultural differences that come from both films chosen sports. but on aspects of film, acting etc what was the better film

    Mean machine easy. The Longest Yard remake was embarassingly terrible

    The original Longest Yard is so good. Agreed on the remake being terrible.

    I liked the remake of The Longest Yard, it's about the only Adam Sandler movie I can stand. That said, Mean Machine was still much better written.
