Following up on a report from Bloody-Disgusting, BlackFilm.com has confirmed that Ving Rhames, Mena Suvari, Michael Welch, Annalynne McCord, Stark Sands and Nick Cannon have been cast in Millennium Films' Day of the Dead remake.

Steve Miner (Halloween: H20) will direct the movie, written by Jeffrey Reddick. The original dealt with the zombie assault on a military establishment.

I lost some hope for this movie after seeing no Sorvino and now having Suvari and Cannon.

Cannon sucks at everything he does, hopefully he'll die early in the movie. I haven't seen Michael Welch or Stark Sands in anything so I'll give them a chance. Annalynne McCord looks pretty, she'll be the eye candy for the movie I'm guessing.

I'm not liking that Reddick is writing, I don't want my zombie movies ending up like his Final Destination movies.
