Dark of the Moon Megan Fox WON'T be in TF3

I hate to sound cruel, but she did look unbelievably skinny in those pre-viz pictures, sickly skinny in fact, at least in the first 2 movies she actually had a body on her, there she looked like a stick, why do Hollywood acctresses always do it? Do they not realise it looks horrible?
She's naturally very tiny. I've seen her in person - she's as small-framed as get out. Even in those Jennifer's Body pics where she was teeny skinny, her ribs don't show. She looks a little on the thin side in the pre-viz pictures, but not sickly. And this is coming from another skinny! I'm naturally thinner than she is - my bones stick out everywhere, and yes, I know how horrible it looks, but I can't help it. :o It would actually take a good amount of work (eating like a pig, lifting serious weights) to get me to look different.

It probably takes some work for her to pack on the weight to look the way she did in TF1 and TF2. It's not really the most surprisingly thing in the world for some actresses to HAVE to gain weight for a role, you know. :oldrazz:

Anita,

But, if you're Michael Bay, would you temporarily blow up your entire film just because you're head actress is perceived to be too skinny?

I mean, it's not like this is a misinformation campaign, spearheaded by Bay. I don't care what spin Paramount and the Bay camp throws us...the story of the new film DIDN'T dictate that they needed to go in a new direction for the female lead.

They now have to rewrite the entire female part from scratch, while they're in production.

Another Revenge of the Fallen on our hands, in terms of script...and I hate saying that because I really wanted Bay to go out on a good foot with this third film.

No matter what's said, this threw the story in a major way. You don't have Lorenzo di Bonaventura state on April 19th that she's got a great role in the flick...

That's why I said she might have known about this for a while - you CAN bulk up in about a month but for someone whose body is naturally against it, it takes at least two.

Someone mentioned that she might be pregnant and I can see that. Although normally someone who's pregnant doesn't start to show until 3 months in (some people barely show at all), and she's still very tiny right now so it would probably take some time for her to start showing. Or maybe she doesn't want to do any action movies right now because of it.

Of course this is all theorizing. :funny: It still would be very stupid to suddenly drop your main actress a month from shooting because of something she said last year. :oldrazz:

Anita,

Well, Don Murphy said it wasn't because of the comments from last September. From what it's looking like, it seems to be something that happened in the last week...

...but, he could be spinning as well.

95% of the reason I'm so up in arms about this is because of the story and the script. We all know that the writer's strike didn't help Revenge of the Fallen one bit.

It seemed, from the outside, that everyone involved wanted to get cracking on pre-production and the writing at the earliest possible moment...and they executed that.

With basically seven to eight months to work on designs, previz, and the script, even Bay couldn't screw up Transformers 3 (well....).

And now, literally the week they get started, this happens. This is going to hurt the film...not matter how they spin this. You don't have Mikaela go through what she went through in Revenge of the Fallen to all of a sudden have Sam have a new love interest. It doesn't compute. And, that's my biggest issue with this.

If they replaced Fox with a new actress, playing the same role, then no harm, no foul really (even though I'm a continuity ****e). But, from ever indication, it's a completely new character who's the love interest...which means a complete top to bottom rewrite.

Not good at all. :cmad:

The other 5% of me likes Fox, thinks nobody's really given her a fair shot, thinks she's got a great performance or two in her, thinks that her and Shia have great, great chemistry, and just wanted her to finish the trilogy.

I thought the robots were the main draw of Transformers not Megan Fox.
Most guys like watching action movies for the ACTION not the love story.

again... without the humans the film would be really hard to follow and unrelatable for the audience. Imagine the films without the humans? it's nothing but a conveluted plot line of cgi and explosions

The Transformers weren't given much of a backstory. I would love to see Cybertron before it was destroyed. I think it would be better without humans. Therefore more time can be focused on the robots.

well unfortunately that's not this series of movies. Reboot yes... these movies no

I know, imagine it being like that scene in Matrix Revolutions (terrible movie by the way) where all the mecha piloted good guys against those slug like mechanoids for 2 hours.

I wish they would have brought back the girl who played Alice in TF2 as a real girl who went to Sam's College. Sam could meet her in one of his college classes & think that the Decepticons had sent another pretender after him, later he finds out that she was a real girl & that the Decepticons had kidnapped her & replicated her & they develope a real relationship.

Alice actually has an interesting backstory that wasn't in the film... the decepticon that was her, stole her image from an animatronic ride based on alice in wonderland.

Not to mention Isabel Lucas, who played Alice, had some not so nice things to say about Bay as well....

Yea it was in the comics right?

So much story left out of the movies :csad:

From Vanity Fair, February 2010:

"Lucas takes her “action movie” characters every bit as seriously as the others—even when certain directors don’t. “It’s interesting,” she says, referring to Michael Bay, “when the only direction is ‘You’ve got to be more sexy!’”

you said that she had some NOT so nice things to say.and then you show me this?

she was hired for being sexy. she accepted the role.she was a model and TF2 was her first live action movie.

please tell me how far will you go in the next months with Bay? will you try again to quote words from actors that said nothing negative about Bay?:yay:

don't know what to think

dark b,

Read between the lines.

Read my post above about why I'm up in arms about this. It really has nothing to do with Fox. It has to do with how this effects the production.

The writer's strike killed Revenge of the Fallen. Steps had been taken to make sure that this production was getting off on the right foot. Everything seemed in order. And now, during the first week of filming, despite what you think her importance is to the franchise/story, Fox is out....

...and the reason pushed in the press is that her comments from last year (false) got her canned and the script/story demands are the reason they're going a different way from Sam's love interest in the film (really false).

Don't we all want a great Transformers film, after Revenge of the Fallen (a film a like, even if it's utter crap...)?

If you are naturally skinny its different though Anita, I wouldnt expect someone who is naturally skinny to suddenly put lots of weight on, like Kate Bosworth for example, has always been naturally skinny.

Really, when was this? And more importantly, what did she say?

And Megan Fox's replacement is..... Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Looks like when your female lead is out, just reach into Victoria's Secret and grab another one
