Dark of the Moon Megan Fox WON'T be in TF3

This news doesn't surprise me cause I knew in the back of my mind last year that this would happen. lols.

I've been reading various websites about Fox's replacement. Some have said Rosie, others have said Katie Cassidy and others have said Brooklyn Decker.

Obviously, out of those it should be Katie. If not her, than Brooklyn. I know she's a model, but she has been in 'Chuck', 'Royal Pains', 'Ugly Betty' and the new Adam Sandler movie. I have no idea if she's good or not, but at least she has some experience.

I honestly think it's going to be Katie. She's a pretty good actress. She is in 'A Nightmare On Elm Street', which was produced by Bay. I can see her working with Shia very well, too.

KATIE CASSIDY for CARLY!! :woot:

I'd be happy with that. I mean seeing as her show I'm guessing was canceled and could be the big boost shes looking to get into the mainstream.

It's looks like a lock: http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2010/05/whitely-new-frontrunner-for-foxs.html

Most important part:

"Of four different sites indicating Rosie’s casting isn’t enough, here is my tidbit to add fuel to the fire. A source informed me yesterday that she has already been added to the cast insurance program which is usually reserved for lead roles and supporting characters whose roles are key enough to production that their loss (say death) could cause a significant expense for the film."

Michael? Seriously? What the hell are you doing?

You could buy Megan Fox a bit in the first film to fall for Sam. There was no doubt after part 2 why they would be together.

This isn't going to work.

This has nothing to do with story. This is basically pay back casting...

Jesus, Christ. This movie just seems to be doomed. Or atleast that looks who its starting.

Out of all the real actresses on the list, they don't even pick one. Better hope shes a mute so she doesn't have to say a word.:oldrazz::o

Bay better have a real good goddamn reason why Mikaela isn't there in this film...I mean real good.

On the human side of things in this film, this is kind of make or break for me. ILM will take care of the robot side, no problem...

...they had no choice to wing Revenge of the Fallen because of the strike. There's no excuses now.

And, this kind of shows how much Spielberg really isn't involved.

Clearly, Megan's weight wasn't the issue...
:lmao: You can see in Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's VS runway shots, how hard the push-up bra is working for her to have that cleavage. She's Keira-Knightly skinny.

Oh, this is gonna be fun to watch.

Anita,

Yeah...it's really going to be fun to watch.

I...I just don't get this.

If Fox got fired for being a you know what, then fine (don't believe it considering the other films she's worked on, nothing bad has ever been said about her).

But, why go a different character route for Sam's love interest? Hire the Odette chick who resembles the Fox a lot and just keep Mikaela...

Simple. No harm done. You don't have to re-jig the story for the new character if you hire Odette Yuseman (?).

Hell, I'm seriously rooting for Jonah Hex to be a hit now...and I have no real interest in the flick to begin with...

Yeah, plus she worked with bay already and know what kind of person he is.

Yup. And TDK proved you could recast with a different (but somewhat similar-looking) actress and not mess up the story at all.

Or maybe Bay couldn't take her romantic rebuffs anymore and can't stand to have anything remotely related to Fox around him, even the name of her character. :lmao:
I'm totally kidding, BTW.
But at this point it wouldn't surprise me. :o

Anita, I'm willing to bet that's at least 30% of Bay's problem right there...

By the way, did anyone catch the interview Tyrese did about the situation?

Cynical or not, he looked upset about the whole thing...even though he didn't elaborate.

No, I didn't see the interview. Seems like people might be diving into two separate groups over this.

This whole thing reeks of Bay trying to prove a point...
It seems that way. If its not one thing, its another.

And I guess this is Bay's way of saying be grateful for what I did for you and I'm gonna do it again to just show you.

Apatow,

Absolutely. And the sad thing, it won't blow up in his face. 3 will make at least 400 million domestically and at least 750 million worldwide and Bay will have proven his point.

Meanwhile, in all likelihood, Jonah Hex bombs...even though, from what I've read, Fox is only in three scenes...but it's be her bomb, not Brolin's or Malkovich's...

Exactly. People will find someone way to make a big deal out of it and blame it on her. Like they usually like to do.

And the thing that pisses me off the most...I was/still am looking forward to this film, only because I know Bay can do better.

It's in him somewhere. I know Revenge of the Fallen wasn't mostly his fault. Again, he publicly stated that he wanted Revenge of the Fallen out in Summer 2010, but Paramount wouldn't relent, so he did it anyway. As awful and wrong as that film is, it's entertaining as hell and I gotta give Bay credit there. Through it all, he pushed that film into some form that resembles a movie.

With no strike...no script delays...and preproduction geting off early, it looked like 3 was going be good, just based on those reasons alone.

Now, re-jigging the script could hamper the film.
