I just don't know why people care. The role of the "love interest" is rather pointless anyways...whoever takes that role is just there for eye candy, nothing more.

some people here just can't understand that simple pre school concept. Having a victoria's secret model or whoever as the love interest (despite whether or not she can act) will NOT hinder the movie whatsoever. 99% of the time the love interest is there to serve 1 purpose, someone for the hero to save (and eye candy, two purposes really). Beyond that, as long as the other actors can act and they come up with a good enough reason for Megans characters departure, it's all good.

Fun fact: for the official exit polls conducted for Paramount on ow for ROTF , Megan Fox was ranked as the #1 reason for seeing the movie among males under 25, above even robots or action, also she was the highest rated actor collectively among males and females.
Of course these stats mean nothing, but this is coming from people that paid to see the flick, but likely box office impact in the end will be minimal

Transformers 3 will perform like most of 3rd films and make less than the second one...and that has nothing to do with Fox not being in it.

I didn't say 3rd movies never make more than the second, I said they usually don't, especially when the second movie exploded the way it did. If this were a franchise who's first movie made 150mil and the second made 250mil I would be receptive to the idea that it the third could outgross the second. Unless the movie is in 3D I see it doing at best 350mil total. I'm not accounting for ticket sales but in pure dollars not one franchise has had two movies gross over 400mil domestically. The Batman sequel will probably be the first by default but Transformers 3 has little chance of doing that. Believe me Transformers 2 more than likely is as high as the franchise goes and thats pretty damn high man so it's nothing to be ashamed of nor is it anything new.

Also Spider-Man 3 did less than the first and second movie where it counts most to the studios. If Spider-Man 3 had grossed over 374.6mil or 403.7mil Raimi would be directing Spider-Man 4.

She would be a bigger star than Tom Cruise and Will Smith put together if she brought in that much dough.

Small movie or not, the bottom line is if Fox was that huge Jennifers Body would have done way better than it did. Jonah Hex should be in for a 200mil gross though because everyone is just dying to see Megan Fox. I don't hate her but the fanboys are insane if they think that she is an A-lister. Shia is a far bigger star than she is.

In 2008 he made the 624million grossing Hancock (which wasn't a sequel and was an original script)and then he followed it up with that terrible flop Seven Pounds. Seven pounds made 168mil worldwide but it was still a flop because nobody liked it and it failed to make 100mil domestically. Will Smith stared in both of these flicks and as you can see he even fails big.

In 2009 Megan Fox played in TF2 which made 836mil worldwide. That same year Jennifers Body came out and made 32mil worldwide. Fox wasn't even the star of TF2 and she was above the title on JB's posters and it tanked hard.

Looking at those two examples you can see why it's ridiculous to even entertain the thought that she brought 300 or 400mil worth of people in. Will Smith is a star, Megan Fox is a hot peice of ass...and hot peices of ass are easy to replace, just ask Bay.

Yea but Julia had a lot more to work with in "Pretty Woman". She was the main character and her character had growth and developement

as far as Megan in Jonah Hex goes, she's a supporting character (who from what I hear isn't even in the movie all that much). There's no room or place at all for her to pull a Julia Roberts even if she has it in her

Not to mention with JB, they marketed it with Megan in extremely skimpy outfits and kissing another girl and it still tanked! I'm a guy and all I wanted to see were those particular scene's, not the movie itself.

But the thing is, there are any number of actresses out there that could do the job of looking hot and bring a little acting to the table. The fear is that Rosie could ruin this movie or some essential scene's (which, I dont care what anyone says, the TF movies do have), in which she is called on to act and cant deliver.

I just done understand why an actress like Mila Kunis, Summer Glau, Gemma Arterton, or any other number of extremely good looking young actresses couldnt have taken this role.

This movies from the get go should of had no human characters, just Autobots and Decepticons beating the **** out of each other. That's the main attraction, not these lame human side stories.

Well that's the fault of a lousy script, it could have been done way better. I mean look at every Transformers cartoon, the Autobots and the Decepticons are the main characters.
