ROTF was a huge success and plenty of people (including myself) enjoyed the hell out of it. 99% of the hate comes from annoying fanboys, most of which reside on this very board

so I wouldn't exactly say he needs to question his directing capability just yet. He's perfectly fine for the time being

Movie was garbage, stop being an idiot. From either perspective, both fanboy and regular movie goer, the movie was awful. Terrible script, awful acting and terrible character development. The only semi-decent thing was the action but that was just overshadowed with how awful the film was.

I didn't even mention the movie. I was talking about critics, in general, and I wasn't even being completely serious.

But since you brought it up, a lot of people do like the movie. You don't and that's fine. Nobody said you had to.

*looks at thread* That's nice. Honestly, eye candy or not, Megan Fox is incapable of giving any decent performance. Jonah Hex and Jennifer's Body made me very aware of this situation; so her leaving and being replaced is very sufficient, if not I bet my soul the new girl will be the next Meryl Streep in comparison to Megan's rotten and wooden acting.

As for Bay, god wish him luck if he makes a third Transformers; I know it's already happening, but after Pearl Harbor and ROTF, a man must know his limits and capability of directing..... which so far after having a dumb rear end and suppressive urge to use the rest room, my 150 minutes in his world of cinema was a living hell. That and I didn't get enough Soundwave.

I know Bay keeps adding more and more Transformers. I understand that it is giving everyone a chance to see their favorite Transformer on the big screen but if you get too many then it becomes a mess. I want to see Shockwave but knowing Bay he will probably add 10 or more new decepticons so if I am lucky I might get a close up or a line or two out of Shockwave.

I think Megan Fox was booted from TF3 because she wanted to get married, but the studios said NO. So she got mad and left. Very likely since her marriage was a surprise while TF3 is filming

Presumably, they could work around a marriage schedule.

I mean, look at the last film, which had to deal with the writers strike and an even tighter schedule.

Shia had the car accident and they managed to work around it, reshuffling shots, etc. And she's likely not in as many scenes as him for the third.

So, no, it's pretty unbelievable to think it was due to her wanting to get married -- if anything, her getting married was a pretty feeble attempt at getting some positive press after being booted from TF3 and the poor performance of Jonah Hex being laid at her feet.

Believe it or not, there's a sizeable female fanbase as well for the movies.

Being married has absolutely nothing to do with sex appeal for a movie. Angelina Jolie's been married multiple times and still hovers at the top.. Catherine Zeta Jones, etc.

Especially since NO ONE seems to know about her getting married.

In fact, if you look on the net, I'd imagine you'd have a hard time finding someone who posts something like "Well, she's married now, I don't find her attractive anymore"

We've been given multiple reasons why they fired her (she didn't leave). Of all the reasons, including abduction and replacement by aliens, getting married is the least believable of them.

Rosie looks a lot more natural. I don't know if she's had work done, but she at least looks a lot closer to where Megan was prior to her surgery fiasco than Megan does currently. Megan has pretty much lost all of the natural "girl next door" quality that she had in the first film, and ironically, a british underwear model looks more "girl next door" than the trailer park princess. Bay has an eye for how to make women look good on screen, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting irritated with how plastic Fox was getting. And I'm sure the Nazi stuff didn't help, either.
