Remember when my contact told me Welling was getting cast and Routh got dumped? I cant believe some guy named Chicken nachos or whatever it was ran that story to all the major internet sites, like AICN, DH, CHUD, I was shocked the next day, still pissed that guy lied to me though

I bet the guy worked for the MediaNetworkCorporationIncwhatever. . . .

ah, now im reminded of the ff vs bb war. That was fun. I suited up and fought on batman begin's side even though I didn't see fantastic four at the time. Golly, those were the days. Well I saw fantastic four recently, anyone who remembers back then, and it's actually not half bad... it's crap, but not completely crap. I liked some of it and would definitely watch it occasionally to see alba strip.

Even worse were the people saying it would do spider-man like numbers
People were idiots and they always disappoint themselves by setting the mark to high. Just like the Superman Returns fanboys are. I can't wait to see this movie not outgross titanic.

Anyone remember the Johnny Depp - Anthony Hopkins rumors for Lex Luthor and Jor-El?

I remember registering on the Hype 3 years ago and after that it's sort of a blur. :)

i have been here for a loooooooong time back when it was spider-man hype dang i was like 12 then so i have basicly given my hole teenage life to this but, i never actually became a member until recently, but i can remember when everyone had threads about how their version of the costume was better than singers, dozens of fan trailers and stuff, see there has never been a superman movie on the big screen in my time so really the past years have been like heaven for me, this place is like my second home.

Superman Returns=$200milion
One Superman Returns ticket=$6.50
half my teenage experience and alot of super memories=priceless

and BTW i aint goin nowhere.

That war was dumb and wasn't even remotely entertaining because BB had a 75% chance of outgrossing FF. And surprise! it did!

On another note none of the movies were raving successes boxoffice wise or otherwise IMHO.

Yippy I hit my 2000thpost...again.

whatever happened to spiderfreddie, the penultimate trouble maker? (and also a strangely wise poster, when one stepped back and looked at his absurdity from a far)

Not really... Spiderfreddie keeps coming back with different usernames, but always keeping his trademark "style" of posting, so he´s pretty easy to pick...

the caps lock was his most obvious trait... but I miss that guy. He had a way of making the know it alls (and there are a lot of those peops) look really stupid, arrogant, and most of all, look like total nerds. It was wicked.

he was a 'post modern' superman forum poster. And probably the most memorable.

one of my best memories, was fighting with SpiderDaniel over Superman: For All Seasons (which he loves, and I... I'm neutral, good story, crapfest art)... but it went on for weeks.

The ultimate troll was Mr Parker, he helped to build the "Organics sucks!" thread the most memorable (in a disturbing way) example of message boards no brakes insanity...

yeah, I'm not to big a spiderman fan (family rivalry, my bro's all about marvel, I'm all about DC)... so I avoided that mess.

I remember Superboy flipped out, left, came back, left, came back, then finally left for good. I wonder if he's still floating around under a different name, freddie two. i'd love to have a celebrity death match b/w those 2

I registered around the time Routh was cast and this section was insane
Ive never been just about one section as im interested in a wide variety of movie projects but when i started my main 4 forums were SR,BB,F4 and Spidey

The run up to SR has been a lot of fun with all the ups and downs and Robo and Showtime need a special shout out for keeping the peace
I'm also glad two posters i got to know on the BB section also post in this section,Sage and Ultimatefan, two guys i really respect

I remember the casting war over Lois and Jack Bauer convincing me Evangeline Lilly was the best choice and then Singer chose Bosworth:mad: :p

Debating with Skruloos was great as he knows how to keep to the topic

Sharing back and forth with Milk was once again this year a lot of fun......BB2,Iron Man and F4/2 next eh buddy ?

Matt,Bad Superman:up: for keeping it objective and giving me some support when voicing my concerns over the movie

Here's to the sequel:up:

At the time Lilly was a great choice for Lois, but Miiiiiaaaaaaa was such a better choice. She had that TAS lois written all over her. Bosworth wasn't my favored pick at the time, but she seems to fit the role quite well (guess we'll all know by tomorrow midnight). I'd never seen her in a more grown up role until this last year or two. She was awesome as John Holme's ho in Wonderland.

And who could forget the picture threads during the lois casting

Any time! Thanx for sharing, the encouragement and the avy. You're da man. :)

I hope this is not the last we share our views on Superman and other subjects. I've had a cool time on these boards. The good outweights the bad.

i've been visting this site sense 2002 before Spider-Man came out. Oh man i've read so many crazy posts here.

Yeah...Superboy was one uncompromising s.o.b.

Thanks for the shoutout Hunter, this reminds me of a thread that was made way back where everyone gave props to posters on the Returns boards.
