I remember back in 2000, discussing this movie in the Misc. DC Comics part of the SPIDER-MAN HYPE! Forums. Back in the days when all TWENTY of us active posters were merely speculating and fantasizing over all kinds of notions...Everyone from Patrick Warbutton of Seinfeld fame to Patrick Duffy of Dallas fame had their own Superman thread, by craaazy newbies. A movie based on Superman Blue vs Superman Red (yes someone actually suggested it), Michelle Pfieffer as Lois Lane and Freddie Prinze Jr. as Clark...(thanks a lot Bakerboy)

I remember back in 2002 when SPIDER-MAN HYPE! became SUPERHERO HYPE! and every other day there was a thread in comments and support on making a Superman forum, and Mirko kept saying not until the movie is green-lit, then locking the thread......literally every-other-day.

I remember back in 2003 when Wolfgang Petersen signed on to do The World's Finest starring Collin Ferrel and Jude Law...at the time it sounded absolutely *****in'...then he directed Troy and Poseidon.

I remember back in 2004, the Welling debates, McG signing to the project, McG leaving the project, Ratner signing to the project, leaving the project, finally settling on Singer.

Finally, 2006. I like some of you, some of you like me. Many of you dislike me, I dislike many of you...but regardless of that, here is to a great six year wait on the Hype, and opening night.

Yeah, I remember fighting for a Superman forum back when this place first became Superhero Hype.

as much i DID argue with a bunch of people on the boards, i gotta say that it was always fun speculating and wasting my time on these boards. i first started getting REALLY interested when the casting was underway and i remember everything from manipping Jim Caviezel and Ryan McPartlin, to gawking at the sight of Routh as Clark, to arguing like hell about the suit, seeing the first teaser, then the trailers, then tv spots, and now we're here!

so in about 2 weeks after i've watched Superman Returns more than 5 times...i'll finally be able to have a life!!! YES!!!! hehe
