I have had an issue with something for a while now and I thought I would get some thoughts from other people's prespectives. This was brought on when I went to go see Watchmen for the 2nd time. Anytime they showed Dr.Manhattan naked or any other male character naked for that matter,t here were guys in the general area that would just freak out or make ewww gross comments like a pre-teen girl who thinks she just got cooties from the boy who just kissed her. It's wasn't just the Watchmen film either. I see or hear this all the time and I just don't get it. Why the need to freak out. Have you never seen that part of the male anatomy. YOU HAVE ONE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. Do you look down at yours and cry eww gross or freak out? I don't think I have ever seen girls have this reaction to a naked girl. So I want to know why the need to freak out and act like a child. Are you one of the people who do this? Are you worried that the second you see a male reproductive organ you are going to be automatically gay? Perhaps you are worried you may not measure up. Whatever. I am just curious to know why males (and I don't mean this to include all males but a large majority) have this reaction to another naked man. I really don't see the issue. Thoughts.......

In your eyes they do. I have no problem with naked girls cause I have seen my fair share. And I am mature enough to not have a heart attack when I see a naked girl. But I much prefer my naked men. You know the whole gay thing comes into play

I saw that Seymore Hoffman dude's ass in some indie film. I had to wash my eyes out. It was scary.

Yeah, but at least it was at the beginning. And we have Ethan Hawke and Marisa Tomei's scenes as just rewards later on (especially Tomei's superb ta-tas). However, Hoffman should stay clothed in future movie roles.

Bale didn't go full-frontal in Psycho--the most he showed was his ass.

In the unrated and/or international cut, when Bale chases Witherspoon around with the chainsaw, you can very briefly see his wiener flopping into view. I noticed that the R-rated version either darkened the area below his hips or cropped the bottom of the frame a bit.

It's not just men. Even though women like what the penis can do (when used correctly), most would say that even the most textbook-perfect ones are unattractive. A lot of men are under the dillusion that women react to penises the same way men react to breasts, but that's a total farce. Breasts are part of the female form, whereas the penis is an organ that happens to hang from our crotches. Big difference!

There are probably more reasons for why male nudity gets such negative reactions from both sexes in the movie house, but that's the best one I can think of.

It's funny because I have a gay friend who was 'eugh, gross' when he saw a vagina. And he used to date a woman. I think. Mind you, in that film, a hot GAY guy (who was paid to have sex with her because she needed to have sex) stuck a rake in the other hole, and there was bleeding somewhere else, among other things...

Well, as for the topic, I guess I must be in the minority because male beauty is awesome for me.

Some people have hang-ups about it because they were either raised in a conservative family deems that "any nudity = sinful because it promotes sex and promiscuity" or are just prudes in general.

I wouldn't say that, you can't just put em into 2 categories.

I'm neither of the things you mentioned there, but I don't particularly like seeing penis'. I wouldn't freak out about it and go all immature, but if some bloke just flopped out his old boy in front of me then, well, I woudn't be too happy about it.
