Metroid: The Sky Calls fan-made short film

from what I saw it was bad ass would not be bad if a movie was ever done in that style

I love Metroid. It's more than likely my favorite video game series and stars my #1 favorite video game character. That being said, I dont love the actress in this short film. Whoever they would choose for the feature length version is extremely important to the film. This is the only character you're going to see, and she's not going to be interacting with much verbally (think 127 Hours or Locke). She's quiet and strong.

Otherwise the effects were great. Shoulders are a little obnoxious but hey, that's kinda what you get.

Pretty good short film, but did not like that Samus actress. I'd prefer to see Charlize Theron in a feature-length movie and think she could still pull it off.

She could more than pull it off. She's perfect for the role. And if she takes a few queues from Tom Hardy in Mad Max (silent and partially obscured face for half the film) she should be a-okay with a film like this.

Hah that was freaking awesome. Loved the visuals and subtly.

Jessica Chobot is pretty hot, but she's not that great of an actress.

But it was pretty cool, though. I love Metroid, and Samus's suit looked pretty cool.

It almost looks like a student film showing off what they learned in special effects class, 11 minutes and nothing happens. I was surprised to see it was Jessica Chobot in the role, I thought she a great on IGN, but she's really not great here and that wig is awful. Interesting concept, it looked good, but next time have a plot.

God you folk are horrible...from what I understand this is an indie production? Id rather watch this than Promethuuuhhhhhs

Love the atmosphere and the visuals. Not a fan of Chobot and her acting in this, but with a better actress in the role this could be even more amazing. :)

Have to agree. Style over substance. It felt empty to me.

Chobot was horrible here. But the movie itself is really nice. I think, Metroid movie is possible.
