I have some gripes with his films but damn he seems like such a cool guy, I love it.

I agree.

It sucks that so many people are quick to say he is arrogant...I call it actually having a personality...oh yeah, and enjoying life.

I'm actually a supporter of Bay. His movies may not be deep but there still damn entertaining. He seems like an energetic guy who likes to have fun.

Glad to hear he's making the sequel a bit darker and the Transformers will have more personality to them.

He's actually being really nice giving such a long interview to some dude who just showed up with a camera and a mic, I mean my expectations for the sequel aren't particularly high, but I'm hopeful. So we'll see, I mean the robot action should be amazing! :D

Yeah, Bay is not your typical director, but I've never had anything against him whatsoever.

I wish I had his kind of personality!

That's the main reason I really can't wait to see this.

I enjoyed the first and didn't dislike the humour as much as alot of others so I'm expecting the sequel to deliver.:yay:

I think Bay was perfect for Transformers. Im not sure many other directors could have pulled a Transformer movie off. Im not sure what people want when it comes to Transformers- but what I envisioned for those characters, what I wanted- Bay delivered in that first one. And it sounds like this time around it will be even better. This guy is an action movie factory- he knows how to make things "go boom" (to use some Joe Dirt slang) and with a Transformer movie- you want explosions and bots battling it out and all the while- some heavy duty military action. Throw in a little comedy relief and a hot babe- and you've got a recipe for a great summer pop corn movie. And to me- thats Transformers- a fun, loud & entertaining ride- & Bay delivered & will deliver that again. He is really cool in that interview- there are so many in Hollywood that would have totally blew that guy off and walked on, instead he has fun and answers some questions. Very cool & decent move on Bay's part.

Good interview, I wasnt a fan of the first movie at all but my enthusiasm for the second movie is a lot higher than it was for the first one. I'm happy with the comment about the robots having more personality, I hope this means it'll actually be THEIR movie this time around. Darker sounds good too, I thought the first one lacked the drama with regards to Jazz's deaths and some of the decepticons, it felt like it just happened!

One thing Bay does very well is film the military and government, with particular regard to cooperation. It was no surprise to me when he filmed at the pyramids. As for his personality, it's what I've labeled as the "lovable *****ebag." If you can see that the guy doesn't really mean any harm, he really is quite likable.

Bay was meant for Transformers, really. I do agree on that. People kept saying Cameron should've directed it, but I kinda actually prefer a lot of robot action, than a deep-thought movie about alien robots, haha.

There wasn't even that much fighting in the first movie. I wanted too see more robot action, there was like a 60 minute gap in the movie that was so boring. However the last 15 minutes of the movie was worth it.

Loving what was said in the interview, and Bay seems like a really cool guy.
