I have a feeling in the flashbacks, we will see or hear mention of Vernon Van Dyne.

that's certainly possible. i wonder if Pym will be a teacher (University Professor) of some sort, in the present. he was in the earth's mightiest episode.

The original Ant Man from back during his Ant Man days. ;)

I want there to be flashbacks in the film to show glimpses of him in action, and hopefully this will lead to people wanting to see a prequel film. And then they could make a 70s-ish spy thriller period film starring a new guy playing a young Ant Man/Hank Pym. And maybe they could also do a young Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD, about Fury's time as an agent back in the 70s too.

This opens up an entire "Silver Age" for the Marvel Movies - perhaps some of the other phase 3 films will be set during this time like Dr. Strange and even the Black Panther...

I will be incredibly peeved if Janet is barley seen in this film. She's one of the founding Avengers! She named the Avengers! I would actually be okay with her being with Lang if it means giving her adequate screen time.

When does filming commence? I saw Douglas at the Super Bowl and he had a full goatee/beard. Hmm.

i read something kind of interesting over the weekend. i never would have guessed it but Douglas' wife was diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder. that must really give him some insight into Pym's mood fluctuations. as someone with the disorder, i just thought it was cool.

Strange, certainly. they could probably get away with it w/ folks like Punisher and/or Luke Cage, as well.

what cities in Georgia will filming take place in?

they name-dropped Fayette County, Georgia.

EDIT...
"We've known that due to the lack of space in the U.K., filming for Ant-Man will take place primarily at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayetteville, Georgia. In addition, it appears shooting will also take place on-location in Echo Mill, Powder Springs, Georgia. A resident of the subdivision took to Twitter to reveal (and substantiate with a photo) that Edgar Wright, along with some producers, had stopped by his home and informed the suburban neighborhood of the Marvel production's plans."

I don't mind if Pym has a beard, at least at first. He can be one of those nutty professors who's gone a bit feral and spends all his time in his lab off-campus.

Variety reported today that production on Ant-Man starts in April, too.

I know it's just me, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if Ant-Man comes along so well that they actually finish it and decide to release it before A:AoU, thus making it part of Phase 2. That's just the fanboy in me talking though.

i wouldn't be disappointed if they put out 15 minutes of the movie every day until the after credits scene.

It would be funny if Edgar started the sixties prologue like Michael Douglas's Streets of San Francisco seventies cop show

never heard of it. i did cave in and watch Wallstreet: Money Never Sleeps, today; it was On Demand. Douglas has still got it. he saved that movie. even Shia Lebouf wasn't as obnoxious as he usually is; due to Douglas. i can imagine that the set up in Ant-Man might have some similarities to this movie.

Samuel L.Jackson is only 4 years younger than Michael Douglas.
