We got plenty of Rudd dancing Gifs so here is Douglas throwing some shapes in Will & Grace

he dances a lot like Rudd. I don't know if that's good or bad.

he's still looking pretty cool. secret agent Pym reporting for duty.

I had a feeling he'd shave the beard, even though it would have been awesome to keep it for the film. They're going to need him clean shaven to do the CGI for the flashback sequences.

A friend told me yesterday that if you swtiched Sam Rockwell and Michael Douglas' roles in the MCU they'd be perfectly cast for their comic book counterparts.

Rockwell as Hank Pym

and

Douglas as Justin Hammer

An interesting point and yes if they were going by the comics much more closely I'd agree. But part of me is really interested in the way they're approaching this with the multi generational aspect.

they don't really need to. they have Patrick Wilson. and he's cleanshaven enough.

I don't really see it. Rockwell doesn't look like superhero material to me. and the MCU version of Hammer is meant to be kind of an upstart/an imitation Tony Stark. Douglas would have been an awkward fit. he's no british criminal financier either.

Sam Rockwell would be more closer to the Ultimate/Earth-1610 incarnation, he'd fit the impulsive, hair-trigger temper type who'd hit his wife.

Charles Dance would of been my perfect pick for 616 Justin Hammer.

Douglas has his own 80's theme music :cwink:

he deserves it for being so prolific during that period. makes me wonder about the Ant-Man soundtrack. i've been doing plenty of research on the Ant-Man cast. this past weekend, i finished the entire first season of House of Cards; just to get a feel for Corey Stoll's acting style. before that...

I'm hoping Douglas Pym is a cross between reclusive mad scientist Doc Brown from Back To The Future and Liam Neeson's ex-CIA man from Taken.

A butt kicking scientist, superhero and spy.

They also made the switch to a younger version of Hammer because having him like he was in the comics, would have drawn too many similarities to him having to fight Stane all over.

That's also why They went with this hybrid, Crimson Dynamo/Whiplash thing. They were trying to avoid the movie looking too much like the first film.

The older he gets the more he looks like his dad Kirk. Both those guys are favorite actors of mine.

So Pym is a Chemist, Physicist and Entomologist in the movies

Imagine him wearing that helmet, nothing to fasten it, just a big metal thing falling all over. haha

Is that fan art or a promo pic? Because I thought he had the beard.
