That Ant-Man comic con footage where Hank Pym was calling superheroes egomaniacs and undisciplined morons, presumably because of the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, makes a lot more sense knowing that Civil War is happening.

Yeah, the beard was not in the concept art, but it was strange that he was sporting it recently. I think he looks good, maybe not what we were expecting, but good.

Well he could. If he's a bit down on himself at the start of the film he might have let it grow out, but shaving it off could symbolise getting his life back into shape and having a purpose again beyond just running Pym Technologies.

I have a big beard, somewhat disheveled. It's not that I don't care about my appearance, I just don't care to shave. The crazy is how some people react to it and how I play with those reactions. It's why I love the 70's, for men and women....

But yeah, Pym is tight in those shots, completely different story.

Its still such an outdated cliche and borderline insulting. I take great pride in my disheveled beard, when I make the effort to grow it out.

Just because people who have a disheveled beard can care about their appearance doesn't mean people who don't care about their appearance are clean shaven. The cliche still makes total sense even if the converse isn't true.

Is anyone else excited about the fact that the door is still open for Pym to have some kind of hand with Ultron's origin? or at least designing the program that will lead to Ultron? I think it makes much more sense for Stark to be Ultron's creator, but it is nice to see that the creator in the comic can also get a nod as well in the movie.

Read a good piece (on here?) a few months ago explaining the theory that Hank Pym, unlike the usual "Hero Turns Bad" schtick, was actually a evil genius, supervillian type who was brought around by love. It's not relevant, just brain farting.
