He was angry, needs to take a chill pill.He was over reacting, that gif you posted served him well.

Yeah, definitely overreacting. Leave it to the beautiful Angela Bassett to correct a fool when they're acting up. That's my go-to "U mad?" gif.![]()
I think we should all wait and reserve our judgement until the movie comes out. Some people are over-reacting over a B-C list superhero who has a fan base coming out of nowhere.
Granted there are a few fans here and there but some people are losing it over nothing to be frank, it's ridiculous at this point. People are allowed to be angry and dissapointed without throwing tantrums and suggesting they'll 'boy-cott' the film or that it's 'DOA' for them because we all know that they will be there opening week-end to see this film..

so are you saying he was a doctor when he was 17 and came up with the antman project? nice maths man. antman debuted in 62. so if u wanna stick with real time there ya go. i'm irish, it's a plural of youIf it's understood and accepted that Janet isn't going to be romantically attached to Hank in any way, then why create an added layer and an extraneous character in Vernon Van Dyne? In other words, Pym::daughter is simpler, more immediate and tighter than Pym::surrogate daughter, and achieves exactly the same dramatic effect and relationship.
Plus, as others have suggested, Hank might have married *the* Janet Van Dyne in the past, and this "Janet Pym," their daughter, is the one who becomes Wasp. That's still paying homage to canon, while creating a new one. Which is what Marvel Studios is famous for.
Or, he'd be 70 years old. Born in 1945 = 20 in 1965, 70 in 2015.
And yeah, we understand that, and already did the math. It works. It just shatters the sliding timeline of comic books. (There's a modern art museum somewhere, New York or Washington I believe, that has an interesting display of famous superheroes in modern times without that sliding timeline --- i.e., a Superman on life support, Wonder Woman with a walker, Spider-Man in a nursing home, that sort of thing.)
Also, why do you keep saying "ye?" Arrr ye a pyrate?

Very well said, I agree 100%.
Why is it hard to believe that Hank Pym was as much a child prodigy as Tony Stark?

at any rate, i think Wright is on record as saying that he intends him to be a badass secret agent. at least i'm assuming that he was directing the comment towards Hank. i wonder how entrenched in politics, Pym will be in this movie. he, apparently, wasn't playing nice with S.H.I.E.L.D.
When and where did you hear this?
Ok, but what if it's revealed that Pym DOES have a large hand in creating Ultron?? Would his character be acceptable to you then? Or is it the being-older-than-the-avengers and no-relationship-with-Jan thing thats the deal killer??
because he may yet be connected with Ultron, and it seems he may be the original 'superhero', the elder statesman of the Avengers, which would elevate him to a position he could never even hope for in the comics. Sadly, Hank and Janet looks as though it may never happen on film.... unless Janet as Wasp only features in the flashbacks as well, as Pym's girlfriend and partner.
Then, pretty much all your arguments would be moot.
So how bouts we wait and see
If anything,Pym being involved with Ultron's creation at this point, would only come across as a fanservicey nod to appease folks. But it's more than a piece of tech he created.Ultron's fixation on the Pyms was integral to the character. As I said when the news broke over Avengers 2,you've basically taken Pym's only claim to fame away from him. (That, and the Wasp relationship)
Pym really isn't a strong enough character to exist on his own as it is.He needs the Avengers more than they need him.I can't really see any films set in the 60's featuring he and Wasp fighting Egghead. This is more or less a stand alone film.
It might be an entertaining film, and I'll see it opening week, but Pym got a raw deal.No two ways about it.
i'm going by Selvig's comments. also, Pym wasn't brought in to consult on the Cube or after Loki's arrival. we haven't heard about him. i'm just speculating that it's because he hasn't made himself available.

how are you a Pym fan and find him so worthless?
But the 60's are going to have few (if any) other heroes/villains to play with.how do you know? you haven't even met him. Douglas' Pym might be more than strong enough to be a solo film lead.
not nearly as raw as Rick Jones.
I never called him "worthless".Realistically,he's a 3rd tier character.I guarantee if they gave him the 4 star treatment Iron Man got (who was considered a 2nd tier character) he'd be a top character.
But the 60's are going to have few (if any) other heroes/villains to play with.
And if they do,it can't surpass what's going on in "present day",since Fury was acting like the world was suddenly filled with people who "can't be matched".
