Personally I think Murray Gold would do a good job. I think his bombastic tracks would suit Spider-Man well.

Michael Giacchino to Score Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

Marvel Studios president confirmed during a Q&A this past week at the University of California (USC) following a screening of Doctor Strange that Michael Giacchino will be scoring the studio’s upcoming feature Spider-Man: Homecoming. The film is directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car) and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. The movie follows a young Peter Parker as he begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero. Feige (The Avengers, Captain America, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor) is producing the project with Amy Pascal (Ghostbusters). It marks Giacchino’s second movie for Marvel following Doctor Strange, which opened in the U.S. this week. The composer also scored the fanfare for the studio’s new logo, which was introduced with Doctor Strange. Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to be released on July 7, 2017 by Sony Pictures. I personally think Silvestri's style is a terrible fit for Spider-Man.. Hopefully Marvel doesn't want a soundtrack that sounds dated and cartoony..

The only thing that Silvestri ever really composed that sounds dated are his 80's synth scores. The rest of his orchestrated work, doesn't sound dated at all. In fact I'd love if it Spidey had a rousing adventure theme. We don't enough of those nowadays, because studios still to think they're too silly.

Spidey has been blessed with some great composers and film scores. I'm just a little concerned about Giacchino burning himself out with scoring blockbuster after blockbuster without spreading 'em out in between other genres.

At 2:10 it starts to sound a little similar to his Star Trek theme, or at least it does in my head. I really like this.
