I believe it. It has less to do with stupidity than ignorance, really. Some people likely have never had to or cared to locate the U.S. on a map.

I don't care about the moon but I think I would be able to tell you if it's the one that comes out in the daytime or the one that comes out at night. 1/5 of America?! HOLY FCKU!!!
