Mission: Impossible 3

Good point but still I was hoping the Abrams first film would do really well.

It is doing well, it's probably headed to a total of 400 million worldwide, that is phenominal for a first time film/movie director.

Once again, I doubt Brad Grey is doing backflips over these numbers.

MI3 is doing pretty good so far in the week.

3.5 million is pretty good for a monday.

Abrams will come out of this looking clean! He's the reason most critics have embraced it. Plus, he cowrote AND directed it. He's showing his real talent hear and this will only springboard his future potential.

loved the movie! I though Abrams did well too. btw did anyone notice the neverending Alias-esk stuff.

It's pretty below average. Especially for this kind of movie.

*starting the movie with the superagent in the clutches of the villain, then backtracking to see how it got to that point. . . CHECK!

*The trendy dinner party at the superagent's posh home. . .CHECK!

*The superagent meeting his handler at the grocery/convenience store . . .CHECK!

*Music by Michael Giacchino. . . .CHECK!!

WEll, for what it's worth, John Woo directed part 2 like it was one of his regular actionfests, and De Palma directed part 1 with the same style he has for all of his movies.

Oh, I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Lord knows Alias owes a lot to Mission: Impossible in terms of influence anyway. And at least there was an element of mystery and subtlety to De Palma's approach that was completely missing from Woo's, who pretty much just made Hard Target 2.

but the last action secenes were good though

I thought the movie was pretty good and quite possibly the best of the series.

I'm quite surprised that Thandie Newton did not return to MI3, I mean she was saved and didn't die.

Uh, Sava.....you might want to check that, dude...

Hope it will get good WOM, because it is the last chance for movie to get more than $180m.

Good WOM also helped BB to get $205m.

180 is out of the question, 130 is doable with ok word of mouth, 150 maybe with great WOM

You don't even know who those breasts belong to Sava? You are undeserving of that avatar.
