Mission: Impossible 3

Wow, Paramount loves what Abrams did with Mission: Impossible so much that they just gave him the keys to their biggest franchise ever (which was also a dying one at that), STAR TREK!!! I grew up watching all of the shows (only one I didn't like was Voyager after a little bit) and probably have seen every episode of TOS, TNG, and DS9. Enterprise had an interesting start, then I lost interest, but in the fourth season they seemed to get a little of that Star Trek mojo going when Manny Coto came on board as the show runner (he's now doing one hell of a job over at 24).

This is phenomenal news for both Mission: Impossible 3 and Star Trek. Probably even better news for J.J. Abrams fans, because this dude is taking off in a way that no other director has!

its great the Abrams is doing a new Star Trek movie but they should really go after new characters, not Kirk and Spock

^A prequel with young Kirk and Spock at the academy. Star Trek Babies.

Yeah, just the fact the studio allowed such early reviews of the movie shows how much confidence they have in it, unlike those situations where they even avoid critic screenings before the move is released. From the moment they announced Alias´ and Lost´s JJ Abrams as writer/director for this I knew it had the potential to be the most intelligent and compelling of the three, and it looks like I was on the money... And the most important that he emphasizes on this review... FINALLY SOME ****ING TEAM WORK!! That was all that the old series was about, and the first two threw it out the window to make Tom Cruise vehicles... At last looks like we´re getting an actual Mission Impossible movie....

So who is the Keri Russell character in this movie?

She was an agent that Ethan trained. If you watch one of the featurettes they show Ethan training her for like 3 seconds. And in the TV Spot that they showed with Alias (Whose comeback episode was AMAZING) was all about her character and where she fit into it all. She contacted Ethan to tell him something that she didn't want IMF to hear......

use these:P how did you know that?
done.... it just all adds up
he trains here, he says something like "there was something in there she didnt want IMF to find", there's a scene where it looks like she gets stabed and then you see Ethan wake up from a nightmare after that scene, then you see a recording of her and he talks like she already knows she's going to die

Where the hell did Thandie Newton's character go? I hate when they just take people out like that.

And Ethan slamming against the car hard enough to break the back window and then walking away seems implausible. Very implausible.

good spot, sounds very likely,i wonder if what she has found out is related to Hoffmans character,i think from the review i read it may be told in flashback
