To let you guys know, I'm seeing the movie on Tuesday and I will be reviewing it as well.

Did you win those tickets they were offering on the radio in Austin for the Previewing?

Why did you just disappear in the PG-13 Ghost Rider discussion?

I don't want to spoil anything for you guys, but I think Philip Seymour Hoffman might be in this one:up:

MI-3 it's really all about Cruise trying remind his fans how cool he still is. It's all about....look guys I'm still the old cool Cruise......look how much higher I can jump now.....look how cool i can handle explosions......look..look I can fight ten guys without a scratch to show for.

I got to say is......THANKS BUT NO THANKS!!!!

That's what pretty much all action movies are.

I never thought an actor's personal life would affect whether or not i would see a movie but I can't stand Tom Cruise anymore. I think I may just skip this one.

Swifty that is hyperbolic crap and you know it,in the first Mission he didn't fight anyone at all and all the stuff you listed can be found in any Brosnan Bond or 90% of action movies in general

:D... its funny, this was the same guy who was dieing to see WOTW last year and now he hates Tom all of the sudden

saw the movie last wenesday at a free preview screening here in Montreal.

MI-3 WAS incredible. Easily the best big movie i've seen this year. If anything even come remotely close, I will be surprise.

Intense from the beginning to the end, better than the bourne movies and any James Bonds from the last 25 years.

People might hate Tom Cruise, but he sure knows how to pick great movies and directorss.

And frankly, since when did a star's life changed his movies???

My god, most people are so friggin ridiculous. Heck, Peter Sellers and Charlie Chaplin had ****ed top life, FAR worse than Cruise could ever even hope to have. And yet, I sure don't see people attacking their movies for that.

Dumb. Very dumb. Grow up, guys.

Wow, I can't wait to see it .

Guys, MiIII will be digital in some theaters...

Movieweb:
Paramount Pictures is distributing Mission: Impossible III digitally to at least 135 when the film is released in theaters next week; a first for the studio.

According to Variety, there's no signed pact with either of the companies overseeing digital rollout, Christie/AIX and Technicolor, but it will work with a number of partners to put out the film.

A deal with one or both firms are expected soon; Mission: Impossible III hits theaters May 5th.

My question is, is there a digital cinema List for MiIII, anyone here got it?

Thanks in advance.

I just saw M:I:III. I wasn't impressed. I expected much more from the guy behind 'Alias' and 'Lost'. It was better than MI2, IMHO, but I still like the first Mission: Impossible more.

They tried to incorporate drama and romance this time, and that should be a good thing, but it wasn't done well. The dialogue was really laughable sometimes and there was a lot of cheesey scenes. The final dramatic scene was supposed to be heart-breaking, but the audience in the theatre couldn't stop laughing at it.

The movie had its moments, and if big action scenes is what you're looking for, you'll probably enjoy it. I got bored, though. They didn't get the balance between action and drama right. The whole experience felt like watching 'Alias: The Movie'. It's a shame that the story of Alias season 1 and 2 was much better than this.

The Newsday gave it 3 1/2 stars.
That's damn near unheard of for this type of movie.

Just got back from the movie. My thoughts.

Overall its a mixed bag for me. I certainly enjoyed the IMF team scenes the most, more so than the action scenes.

Basically the movie is a big budget extended episode of Alias, sub Tom Cruise for Jennifer Garner. Plus a lot of excessive Michael Bay esque action. The people jonesing and constantly demanding "MORE ACTION" from the Spider-man films certainly won't be disappointed here.

Simon Pegg is great, but his character is a carbon copy of Marshall from Alias.

The big plot twist is pretty predictable and a little cheap and disappointing.

Not enough character development for the Meyers and Maggie Q characters. Maggie's lone character scene is kind of cute though.

Hoffman is the best thing about this movie, Davian is a unique and fantastic departure for him. He's quite menacing in a way I wish more screen villains were.

Overall I'd say *** out of *****. I still think the first movie is the best one. They made some good changes in this one as far as the villain and team element goes, but outside of that, it still doesn't achieve the greatness of the Bourne films have as far as the spy genre is concerned. I did have some fun and I got a free t-shirt, so I honestly can't complain too much.
