Mission: Impossible 3

Somewhere in the second act she should die. That is what I think. I think the film would have been more interesting if Ethan had to suffer some consequences for the personal relationship he choose. Anyway, this is all pointless.

I think that way would have worked as well but i had no issue with the way it went but as you say all pointless now,on to Miami Vice

Its Mann, of course it will be a soild movie. I have no worries about Miami Vice. When has Michael Mann ever mad a bad movie?

Test screenings are usually full of idiots. After the fiasco with Gabriel Yared's original score of Troy being rejected because of test screenings, I really do not care what people say in them.

Wow, I have to concur with Stewie on this. WOuld have been a better movie if Ethan would have been more focused on revenge in the secont half.

James Bond already did that. "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and all. :)

I liked that the movie offered satisfying closure to the series, because it's doubtful we'll see Ethan on the screen again.

Saw it the other day and personally thought it was the best of the three

ALI was a mediocre movie :p .

rider, what happened to the naked woman in your avatar? Wasn't that yours?

Just saw it. F**king loved every moment of it. Cruise and Hoofman both give great performances. The scene on the bridge was incredible, the plane screeching past was breath taking.

Loved this film, favorite out of the 3.

Just came back, wow what a great movie! Definetly the best of the 3. It was different but in a good way. It was funny hearing some of the "Lost" music in the movie. Its too bad the ending wasnt as good as the rest of the movie but still an awesome movie! 8.5! Like Hunter Rider said "On to Miami Vice"

Forgot to mention when i went see it last week, an 80 year old woman walked in to watch it! how cool is that!!

MI3 was a great action film. The best of the MI movie series easily. A lot of the criticisms I heard before checking it out didn't really pan out for me.

I thought Davian's character had enough screentime. I also thought Cruise had believable chemistry with his romantic interest. The movie also had more of a team feel than the other two, though the Zhen character needed more screentime. Maggie Q is gorgeous. The action scenes were also good.

I also enjoyed Laurence Fishburne in the movie. He was a great hardass boss. If there is an MI4, I hope he returns.

Actually, I think, even though I know it won't happen, that MI3 could set up a new trilogy of movies centering on a new central character. I think MI3 set up Hunt's exit from the series very nicely.

Yeah. I am tired of Hunt. I think it is time for a new hero.

Not to worry. After these lackluster returns, you won't be seeing Hunt or his crew for a long, long time. ;)

Yeah, MI:3 is probably going to strugle to get about $130 million in the US alone.

People can talk about worldwide and DVD all they want, I doubt Paramount is happy about these returns. Especially since a good chunk of it probably goes back to Cruise, which probably goes to Scientology :) .

I also still think the movie was overrated by a lot of people.

I saw this, and found myself loving it. virtually flawless film*female lead wasnt very good*-and for the naysayers MI3 did take a few risks compared to the usual sanitised crap (never expected that agent with the bomb in her head to die for example) next id like to see frank darabonts black market body parts mi movie.....directed by fincher hopefully....thatd be sweet.though I could happily watch more abrams mi movies.

You seem REALLY desperate to get your point across about not caring for the film as much as others. Get over it.

Hey I like the movie. But you know, it's not exactly setting things afire :p .

virtually flawless? man you gotta be kidding me on that one.

My goal is to see it this week. Then I can have a discussion on it's flaws, although I never did see the second one. No surprise there.

Of course it's not flawless, I can only think of few movies that are.

But I had a hell of a time with MI3, just like I did with MI1 and MI2.

It's not flawless, but it is a great film.
It's in my top 10 now, an honor that only movies like Oldboy, Pulp Fiction, and Raiders of the Lost Ark have.
