Moon

Saw it the other day and thought it was fantastic. It's directed really well, the models looked great, the music was great and Rockwell was great aswell. What Zowie did with the budget is impressive.

The only thing I have to say against it and it's only a minor thing but it has to do with the bits where he sees things. After the crash they never picked back up on it.
Maybe it was to throw you off until the reveal or maybe it's a rogue memory from the real Sam Bell..

That little thing aside, I have to say it's the best film I have seen so far this year.

That's sort of what I was thinking, but if he wasn't
losing it
, that makes no sense.
but he WAS losing it, that's the thing. and that's kind of what i chalked it up to. the clones are only built to last a certain amount of time before they start to deteriorate, i figured that was just part of his mind going.

Ducan Jones On His next film
“If Moon is an homage to Silent Running and Alien and Outland, then the next one is my homage to Blade Runner…. Not the same story, but definitely of the same spirit.”

The sci-fi film I want to do is called Mute -- a very different feel and pace to Moon, but a story that takes place within the same universe. It's a thriller that takes place in a future Berlin, and is very much a love letter to what I loved about the believable "world building" of Blade Runner.

On Rockwell’s upcoming cameo
“Sam has agreed to do a little cameo [in my next movie], where we will have a little epilogue moment of what happened to Sam when he got back to Earth.”
Sounds boss.

that sounds awesome. Are we looking at a possible drama/scifi-esque ViewAskewniverse?

It was a bit random the way they just dropped it, but I thought the girl looked a little like his grown up daughter, so thats who he may have been seeing.

Or maybe they are programmed to start seeing things toward the end of their life span.

Sam Rockwell was amazing and the whole movie was amazing.
a simple story but the performace from him was amaaaaazing.

:bow::bow::bow:

Cant wait to get this baby on Blu-ray, some of the scene's will look stunning, especially when he goes outside the station.

it just shows that when a movie is not promoted like a blockbuster then a lot of people dont care.
this movie is fantastic. the performance from Sam was just briliant . and the music. so subtle but yet so effective.

Sam Rockwell on the petition at a Q & A for his movie Gentlemen Broncos:
Well, you know, dreams are nice. It's very flattering. Very, very flattering. Very nice. I mean it's obviously the director so he has an agenda [audience laughs] but it's nice to see that. We worked really hard on that film.

finally, sites like slashfilm.com are pushing for movies like this and finally realize how much power they have on the industry.

Finally? Are you kidding me? /Film has been plugging this film like crazy ever since they got the trailer.

Oh and yeah, Sam Rockwell deserves an Oscar for this. It's my new favorite movie, basically of all time.

he doesnt need an oscar. the movie is proof enough that he is good. it will be out forever and everyone will be able to watch it.

He deserves SOMETHING.
he deserves good praise and he is getting it from everywhere. from critics, from the general public( not a lot because they dont watch a lotof times those movies),from scifi fans and from us here on SHH.

he won.

in a perfect world he would get the oscar. but in a world where people become oscars only because or movies like Ray,Amelia,..... he has no chance.

silly goose, i know that they've been pushing movies like these, including Mystery Team. But prior to slash film, pushing small movies were less common.
