Oh come on, he lives in a cave and thinks he's a wizard. Moore is bats**t insane. He's a brilliant writer, but that's really the only thing he is brilliant at. Anyone who just goes "I hate all movies" is obviously not very open minded, or smart for that matter. It's like going "I dont like music." I was saying the same thing earlier in this thread. Moore is a genius, but he is a little unstable. Some one who hates all movies, and that medium is truly not that open minded. I think Moore is a genius, and ahead of his time in many aspects, but there are things off about him.

I remember after wards talking about TKJ, he claimed he did not care for it, and wish he would have done it differently, feeling it lacked substance. When I thought that TKJ was one of the best graphic novels made. He even attacks his own work, I just don't think Moore can ever be happy, all his comics brilliantly complain and show society our dark sides, but sometimes after writing Moore continues to complain about everything in the world. Including his own work lol. Which is okay to do, but always from his interviews he just kinda came off as he was a little too egotistical sometimes. Though his work is that of pure brilliance. That I will not deny.

Moore is honestly an extreme misanthrope. I don't deny he writes good work, but his anti-social, everything in this society sucks mindset is a little off putting. I can be cynical too, but I hate people who just despise and find negativity in every damn thing.

Of course, Moore didn't think far ahead enough to realize we could have blu ray DVD's and personal computers that work the way they do and CGI effects. I think the film medium is even better for the kind of story he is telling than comics as well.

Uh huh. I rarely get the time to post on the hype anymore because of school (and no viral marketing for me to be excited about) but seriously if Moore doesnt like it, who cares? Making movies from his stories, wether they are altered or not, do not take away from the already printed material that he conceived. You can simply ignore the movie and read the comic in your room. Moore can let other people who are willing to enjoy a film based on his ideas do so without having to **** on it. The people will decide wether the movie sucks or not. Not Moore so he can save his comments.

The reason I feel a movie is better for the Watchmen is because the type of story Moore was telling was more nuanced.. nuance doesn't work well in comics.. big stories with a lot of action work better for comics. Even the letters work better in a DVD format than in comics.. you could have a actor reading the dialogue in the letters while the letter is dispalyed..

The bottom line is that movies are just a more powerful medium with more versatility. when you add advanced visual effects and blu ray DVDs there is no contest. The ONLY thing missing is the length of the story.. will Snyder be able to tell the story in the time alotted? But even if he can't the time will come shortly when we there will be a HBO special with 12 parts and the effects will be cheap enough that they can pull it off. Or mayeb the whole thing is a CG animated feature.

The point is though that if you did make a film version it would be better than the comic.. and this would make Moore irrate..
