Mortal Kombat reboot, or MK3 ?

well i wanted him to play zero ever since BB, his voice sounds like zero and btw Liam can still kick some major ass, Taken
and Liam isnt that tall he's slender

Well liam is taller than chris bale and chris is 6'0 1/2 almost 6'1 so that makes liam at least 6'2 he looks 6'3 to me. but yeah he can fight and sounds like sub-zero and without a doubt could play the role, but i want to see somebody who actually knows the fighting styles, not just someone that knows how to fight or can look like it. i think that would be best thats y i say khalil for hanzo. and we would also want somone that could put on the amount of muscle to play him, i think liam is a little too old to get the size i would want to see. good idea though, it just isnt they way i think the characters should be portrayed in the movie.

Here is casting that I did a While back with some changes,by the way there is also a Casting thread for a Reboot/remake maybe a Mod can merge these threads: http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=299723

,and I think u go with no named actors for sub/scorps(unless ur focusing the movie on them which won't happen)

Actually the last rumor to come out about this movie was that it was A) a prequel and B) focused on Sub Zero.

I always wanted Vinnie Jones to play Kano

Louiebing has some amazing cast choices as far as looks go, not sure who a lot of them are though. Love Statham as Kano

Though I have no doubts Stathem could pull off Kano, but do u really want him in this movie as it will become just another Stathem movie,no thanks.
No thanks to Bale/Liam as it will never happen anyways, and I think u go with no named actors for sub/scorps(unless ur focusing the movie on them which won't happen),for them u just need two guys who can do martial arts.

it would actually be more likely to happen than doing another movie about liu kang or kung lao, especially since scorpion and sub-zero are the two most popular characters on the game. if they didnt the make the movies all about them what they need to do is pick two guys that are good at the fighting styles they use not just anybody that knows martial arts. that's just like picking any muscular black man to play jax its just ridiculous.

no you need actors who can lpay somewhat complicated roles, have read these peoples pasts?scorpion was a father and husband, subzero a mean sob and a man with his soul forever lost, and thats just the older brother, younger sz dosent even know why scorp wants to kill him, they are layered dimesional characters
and ive never seen rayden being layed by anyone other than the highlander, chris labmert

yeah i luved his catch phrase " i dont think so", but i dont wanna see him play raiden again i would rather see somebody that can play the character like his but a little bit different and also have him say that once or twice in the movie. his line made for the perfect ending in the first one.

I dunno, I like them better as these specters where they come out of nowhere and are simply a force to be dealt with.

At least that's the way I see them in the game, and liked they way they were handled in the 2 movies.

Here's some rumors I remember from awhile back about who would be in the next MK movie.

Johnny Yong Bosch as Mavado

Daniel Southworth as Kenshi

Patricia Ja Lee as Li Mei

Funny thing is all of these guys were on Power Rangers.

i could deal with some one playing the character similar, maybe tom jane?:oldrazz:, hes my pic for connor if they make a highlander remake

yeah, he looks just like chris lambert. but what i really wanna find is someone that knows jiu jitsu that wouldnt look weird with white hair, and is a really good actor. but now that i think of it thomas jane might be able to do it.

that can be choreogrphed, though it is better when the performer does know what there doing, im not sure if he can do tjhe omniprenencse that lambert had

Has there been any news on this? Last I heard of anything about this was a few years ago...there wasn't really news back then...it was just like announced...

They should just get James Remar again. Everyone knows he was the best Raiden.

WB bought the rights for MK and other Midway assets and said that there are going to be in pre-production or filming this month or in Sept.

and besides that we dont know anything about the casting or directing other than it will be distributed by WB

Well...some news is better than no news. At least it something thanks!

WB never said that they were going into pre-production or production at all, that's just a load of rumor garbage. They bought Midway, that much is true, so they can make more films if they wish but they never said they had any plans yet.

like what Hellion said its something atleast

Good attitude, but if we listened to every MK actor who's reported production starting up "this year" on a new movie we'd be up to MK6 by now. :hehe:

To go back to the opriginal question, I dont think the first MK warrants a reboot. Its way too early plus fx and story didnt date much, if at all. Not that its some great movie, but for what it is it does it job very well. So I would prefer MK3 instead of a reboot
