It's kinda like Street Fighter 4 and now Marvel vs Capcom 3 revived those franchises. Street Fighter never went away, it was just misguided until Capcom realized going back to its roots could bring new life to it.

That's freakin' why the new Mortal Kombat game is going back to it's core. Don't tell me that everything fine and great for the past decade.

Oh no, things have not been fine. They were just profitable and well reviewed. The Mortal Tekken trilogy are three of the worst fighting games to ever seen the light of day, but the idiot press and the casuals ate that **** up. What kills me is as profitable as the series ways in MKDA days, David Zucker still found a way to kill that company.

I am amped for this! Glad that it isn't really connected to the previous short other than the talent involved (I liked the short okay but was happy to see that they may be more closely following the game's origins). Hopefully it leads to a movie.
